Coupon-mad wrote: »Oh yes of course, thanks for the reminder Mary. I did use this week's 39p off Chat coupon as well so it was even cheaper.
Forgot to say that as I used quite a few other coupons too that I didn't buy the product for (in Sainsburys again, some very nice SAs there where I get more off in coupons than I would at Tesco!).
Our sainsbury's is cr*p! About a year ago I tried to give in one measly coupon, and it was refused, and supervisor called over
When she said they would not accept any if the product was not bought, I pointed out that Asda and tesco both accepted them.
"Well, we don't" she replied
That's very probably why tesco and Asda make more money than you do then", I said. "No wonder you're trailing behind them"
DH refuses to come near a checkout with me these days. I tried to enlist him as a couponer but he refuses saying it is "Shameful" :rotfl:

P.39 - MOC for a free Weight Watchers frozen meal, worth £1.79 (scans at £1.79 without buying it). Valid until September (I think - sorry have already used it - but it's the same one as in the other mag (Best?) recently).

I think this is last weeks issue before anyone rushes out to buy;)0 -
I had 200 points on my card, which I used on wednesday. But, on my receipt it said 'points balance not available' The following day, I bought a magazine and handed over my clubcard. I was surprised to see my balance was still showing 200points, as I'd already used them! I quickly spent the points before they realised their mistake, LOL I'm not sure why this happened, but I guess either the system was down when I redeemed the points and there was a delay in removing them or when the SA scanned my points voucher the other day- the points didn't show on my receipt so she entered the points manually- 2 lots of points went on my card, even though the balance was only showing 200 points. I'm not complaining though!
Think the tills are now set up to only allow you to automatically get the 200 points once. It wouldn't work for me yesterday, despite him trying the same thing 3 times!(Definition of insanity? Trying the same thing over and over and expecting a different result?!?)
Anyway, he couldn't work out why it wouldn't add them on, so put them on manually for me too, didn't suss that I might have already used the voucher before!!0 -

So basically this is the end of the 200 point coupon. I suppose it might be worth trying if you are in a large busy branch where they will willingly manually add them on for you but before long most stores will realise the coupon is not working because you have used a coupon before.
The only way around this is to apply for another WHSmiths card for another member of your family - can you do this online as well as in branch?. Very long time since I apllied for one. Not sure how long this takes.
Or switch buying your mags to Boots as part of your £10 spend for extra points. Or its back to Tesco and Asda but not all stores will let you use £2 of money off coupons on a £5 spend

Is it just me or is there now much on offer at the moment? I'm not really interested in MOC, just decents freebies either in the mag itself or voucher to take to store.2023 wins - Rice Krispies, Avene Micellar Gel, Barbie Toy, £20 Apple Gift Card, KFC 6 piece bargain bucket, Chloe Nomade perfume, Barbie Toy (second one), Sanctuary Spa Sleep Balm, E45 Moisturising Lotion, Trolls Hamper, 12 Tonie Characters, Sure deodorant, Good Home Utensil holder, £5 Costa Gift Card, Neutrogena Micellar Jelly, Soap & Glory Mascara, Persil capsules,0

I think you're right, not much going on in terms of gifts, skincare/perfume vouchers or the like. Saw NW mag at Boots yesterday, I think it had a gift attached, don't know that for sure though (was in a rush so couldn't check properly), maybe someone can tell us more.
Hopefully we'll be luckier with coupons. Here's hoping that this week's Best, Woman, Love It or What's on TV will come with some nice non store specific MOCs.'Into every abyss I still bear the blessing of my affirmation' (Friedrich Nietzsche)0
