Thanks for the welcomes. I am looking forward to starting with you all on Monday. I got to the stage where I didn't know where to start - so just didnt. But now I am looking forward to working towards a debt and clutter free home.
It's different for everyone, but where I started was spending 30 minutes just putting things in the right rooms.Better is good enough.0 -

Remember that it didn't get like that overnight, and it will take a while to get it how you want it BUT as you develop your routines the basic cleaning will get faster, and bit-by-bit you'll nibble away at major problem areas. AnW's patented dot-to-dot method (a former, much-missed Flylady) will help; you clean one area, e.g. a cupboard top in the dining room, and keep it clear. Next time you work in there a second area gets cleared and, eventually, the dots join. Oh and my mantra helps, apparently :rotfl:Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear0 -
DH and DS out playing cricket.
DD2 away to b/f's house.
DD1 out with friends.
I am alone - it's wonderful - and VERY unusual. Ironing with my choice of telly....:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
Hi all
Just to let you know we're back, safe and sound. Had a lovely stay overnight in, of all places, Evesham; close to the river, and as it was nice, we had a little trundle out, and I made friends with a Jack Russell Cross.:D
We had their one wheelchair-friendly room, and the bathroom had a proper bath in it!! So many hotels only have showers; so that was great, as soaking my aching bones first thing in the morning helps a lot with the pain and stiffness.:o
Hopefully back to proper Flying tomorrow; though I've promised myself I'm not going to use all my spoons on it, I must try to keep some back for other things.;)
The bungalow is a bit of a mess though; I wasn't able to do a lot with Mary-Fairy-Fuzzy-Butt here, but all being well, we shall soon be up to speed with it all.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

Hi Everyone...
So sorry I have been absent, missed catching up with you all..:o
My boys & I have been so very busy cleaning and clearing out that I've just not made it on here to say anything! (not even watched ANY television for 3 days:eek:)
My garden has been cleared of all manner of things, old wood, broken bits & taken to the tip.. I've given away sleepers, compost bins, water butts & recycled as much as possible.. definately a deep clean going on :T
I have today sent an e-mail to the admin to request a name change to stop the possiblity of things getting difficult for me (long story..) mainly due to explaining my difficulties on here & in another post.. ho hum..
I've started cleaning all the windows & staining the shed/chicken house & fences too... feel like I'm on a roll
Thanks again for all the support & I promise to catch up with you all asap xx (you may find this post replicated ish on the decluttering post.. saves sore fingers from retyping it all!;))"There's a little witch in all of us"🔮🪬🧿DEBT FREE 06/2018Mrs SD’s Decluttering 2025 ⭐️ 🥇0 -
