Thanks for your comforting words ladies. I bottled it today. It's not helped by the fact that I'm out tonight and out all day tomorrow until 6.30. Sunday I have to take DS3 to his football match so that leaves me from 12.30 to cook Sunday lunch, do kids homework and try to make my home cleaner.

Delegating is a work in progress. I delegate but the delegates abscond or deliberately do the task badly so that I don't ask again.

The hard floors have been hoovered and 2 loads of washing have gone round. I have cleaned the en-suite.

Hugs to deco and mumto5 x

Been a funny day today, kiddies have been on a strict no treat day after an incident last night, and continued bickering this morning which ended in DS biting DD finger, but lying about it. So he has been in trouble, once he confessed, although I did tell him it was good he told me the truth, but he needs to do it sooner in future.

Quick shop, DD had a strop but was in trolley and not really a big deal. I told her no and and she just cried and asked for a cuddle.

Eventually the rain dried up so we did some gardening. We've filled a paddling pool (snipped bottom) with compost and fastened mini bamboo screening around to disguise it. Well, it's half full. Need more compost. We have broccoli, cauli, carrots and lettuce germinating at the moment. Runner beans, tomatoes, aubergine and spaghetti squash are all waiting to sprout :T when they are ready they'll be going paddling :D

We also swept the lawn of the bark, which has been blown everywhere these last few days. That was hard work. So hopefully, they will sleep well tonight.

Some laundry done too. That's about it!

Reading about the WM cycles, I put a quick wash on this morning before work, intending it to be done before I went to work but accidently put it on a reg wash that takes just over 2 hors. It had started when I realised and when I tried to change it, it wouldn't let me, so I let it wash for 30 mins (the clothes had only been worn once), and then put it on a rinse and spin............it was done just before I was due to leave for work :)

    Hope all are well xx

Dinner ready (well, delivery here :) !!!!) catch up in a bit xx

It seems only yesterday you said you were having Mary for a month Lamewolf, and now she's homeward bound. Do you have any more bookings?
Jessie Lab's coming next Friday for the weekend - hopefully at that stage I work out if I can handle working with a male franchisee:eek:

    Hi everyone

Better late than never - our Home Hub turned up its toes on Thursday and we've had no Internet access. Fortunately BT managed to get the new one delivered to us today and DH has set it all up this evening.

This week I've only done a few loads of washing, S&S of kitchen and bathroom, tidied bedroom and lounge, and hoovered downstairs. Everything else has gone to pot. Today I've been to see the solicitor and estate agent (needed to present my anti-money-laundering ID in person) which has involved 2½-hour train journeys to and from the West Midlands and a one-hour bus journey , but I did also get to see an old friend for an hour and catch up on all the news. Tomorrow DH and I are setting off early for London: he is going to a wargaming show while I am travelling on to Sussex to see another friend. Lots more sitting on trains... At least I took some paperwork with me today and completed it :) The cleaning will just have wait until next week :p

Congratulations to GI's DD2 on getting her GCSE Maths.
CY, I hope all goes well for your DH.
Boddington, good luck to your DD for the interview.
Deco, I'm sorry you didn't get the job. It probably just wasn't meant to be and - as someone else said - something better will come along. I hope you can see it as an opportunity to follow a different path rather than a set-back.
LW, hope you survive the hotel.
Mumto5, big (((hugs))) and I hope you don't have to give up your extra hours of work.
Skint, well done on keeping up the Daisy mode - it's such a good start in life for your DD4.

Apologies if I've missed out anybody else who deserves a special mention.

Everyone, please help yourselves to (((hugs))), spoons and sticks as required, in my absence.

    Hi to all flyladys

I have just joined this forum, mainly to help sort out my finances. I have tried the flylady routine before and found it useful and would like to join your thread please? Due to illness I have let things go in the house and really need to sort it out, my main focus for a while will be de-cluttering but I will try to do some of the things you suggest as well. Do you start a new thread each Monday? and do I just post with how I am getting on?

    Thanks

    Hi all

Thanks for all the supportive comments. I've had a word with myself, my problems are really nothing in comparison to what some of you on this thread face day in day out. So I'm sorry for my earlier ramblings.

    Good morning ladies.

This is my first week of working 4 days. I am already coming to the realisation that it's not going to work. The house is a mess, I am behind with the washing and ironing. There is no food in the fridge and I don't have time to go shopping. I don't know how I'm going to broach the subject with my lady. Shes very sensitive. If I don't do this for her then she will miss out on essential appointments. I am so torn.

I have 25 minutes now to fly - my home really needs some attention.

    catch up later.

I completely understand this Mumto5. Since OH's job has come to an end, I've had to up the hours at one of my jobs (I have 5), by an extra 10 hours per week, which now means I have to go out on Sunday and Monday evenings. It has played havoc with the house. Our "family day" on a Sunday is cut short and I spend all day Monday doing the best I can, whilst trying not to overdo it so that I have something left to give between 5pm and 10pm. It's so hard. I have no solution for you, only sympathy. Needs must though here.

We sound like kindred spirits. We too love Iona, and all the other Scottish Islands. OH wanted to go to the wargaming show you are going too tomorrow (he has started his own scenery-building business) and no doubt, I probably would have gone visiting a friend whilst he did it (he doesn't like me attending the shows with all the bearded men in black t-shirts!)

    Have fun, sister!

Here I am wide awake at silly o'clock: I woke up and simply couldn't get back to sleep. Just decluttering tea :coffee: and raising a mug to Honey Bear.

But I'm also using the opportunity to finish another of my boxes. I've still got another ten to complete before 20th May, though some of those are already half-done :)

Have just checked eB@y and another item has sold - *ker-ching!* Decluttering now means less to pack when we move :D Next to be sold is a set of beer festival glasses

    Thanks TMD, I shall!

My DH doesn't have a beard or even a black t-shirt, but there are certainly a few of those life forms in the club he goes to! I have been allowed in on a few occasions (not to join in the wargames: once to provide food for DH's 60th birthday, and a couple of times when waiting for a lift home after a museum lecture or similar) and I always come away marvelling at the way these grown men revert to childhood when they are playing and are so utterly serious about the rules, especially for the fantasy games :rotfl: DH doesn't like fantasy but is building up units of Celtic warriors for Dark Ages games (because of his Welsh ancestry), Civil War regiments (he's especially fond of his Royalist clergy and Puritan preacher, painted to look like the Dean and Canons of our Cathedral!) and WW2 Polish forces (including Wojtek the soldier bear who drank beer, ate cigarettes and carried the ammunition boxes - true story) :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Right, one packet needs to be to wrapped, ready for posting, and then I'll try and get another hour or two of zzzzzzzzz.
