Glad you're going to get a little peace before the chaos commences.

I'm going to bow out the HHC as still a bit shaky after grass inspection.

Nosy question how long does it take your machines to do a 60 or 30/40 degree wash? Mine seems to take forever - well 2 and a bit hours!
Cold wash: 1 hour and 1 minute
    30: 1 hour and 6 minutes
30 on"easycare" (ie reduced spin speed and ultra-short wash): 39 minutes
    40: 1 hour and 21 minutes
    60: 1 hour and 41 minutes
My WM is a Bosch with a "reduced time" option, which I always use.

Mary's been collected, so the newspaper carpet has been removed, and the Dys0n Tango done. This is good.:o Knees totally wossnamed up now. This is not good.:(

We're away overnight tomorrow, and I'm having blue kittens about going to a hotel.

  • Afternoon all.

Had a bit of a cr*p day but won't rant as I'll go on and on and on  Just chomped on a large frog to try to sort out, to be told a completely different story to what I was told by their partner company this morning. It seems I was misinformed this morning and finally I know what I need to do to rectify the problem. I could scream as money is being withheld due to other people's incompetence and not at any stage have I received an explanation or apology. Oh look... I did rant after all :rotfl:

Today I have hoovered, DW x 1, WM x 1, TD x 1 (drizzling in bumpkin land), shined the sink, S&S toilets. I've done 2 hrs of paperwork and had an argument with the printer. I WILL be master of my own printer!!

On the positive side my business set up is plodding along nicely and should all be up and running by this time next week :p Also I pass two lovely magnolia trees whenever I go out and they are just starting to blossom - absolutely beautiful and it lifts my heart to see them *sniffs* Maybe I should go stare at them now for half an hour to calm me down. HH gazing at trees anyone??

Mumto5 sorry to hear of your work/home situation; it's so difficult to juggle and balance everything. I hope you can find a solution that works for you very soon xx

Tonight I am going to clear the remaining detritus from the kitchen/dining room and fling as much as I can. Clutter has been building up as soon as my back is turned - DD? clutter fairies? - it has got to stop. Off I go!!

ETA calming and soothing hotel-visiting vibes to LW xx

    Good morning ladies.

This is my first week of working 4 days. I am already coming to the realisation that it's not going to work. The house is a mess, I am behind with the washing and ironing. There is no food in the fridge and I don't have time to go shopping. I don't know how I'm going to broach the subject with my lady. Shes very sensitive. If I don't do this for her then she will miss out on essential appointments. I am so torn.

I have 25 minutes now to fly - my home really needs some attention.

    catch up later.

Once you get into the swing of things it will be easier - oh,, and delegate.

Been busy with errands, taken DD to dentist. DD has her mothers genes and has found a reduced price (co-op is shutting:() gift for her dad, for Christmas. The Vallikids have bought Grandma a HUGE box of chocs less than half price from Thorntons (birthday Monday)

am catching up while I wait for painkillers to take effect -we're nearly there!

My previous machine was on a 2 hr+ cycle.

This one (Bosch) 40 deg 1hr 37 minutes
    60 deg 1hr 45 mins
does a 40 minute wool wash too
I usually use the 40 deg, wash towels at 60 though, occasionally 90 (to give machine a clean, too)

they're the cycle I use most frequently.

DS was given short shrift when he listened to a comedian who said only one cycle is EVER used and tried to imply I didn't vary it!:rotfl:

I have beds to strip - I NEED to feel better! Oh and my dad's been here, while I was out, to finish off the painting. The kitchen I cleaned yesterday looks like...well looks like it WASN'T cleaned yesterday - or any day recently.
    *sigh*

I've been optimistic about the weather. I put a wash on about 5:30am and it started sleeting. At the moment things look to be drying outside so when the WM finishes out the bedding/towels will go. I'm also hoping to get a darks wash out too. Nosy question how long does it take your machines to do a 60 or 30/40 degree wash? Mine seems to take forever - well 2 and a bit hours!

Mine has a 15 minute quick wash
I usually use the 30/40'C which is 52 minutes
60'C wash.. I have several.. from 1hr 10-2hr 15 depends on prewash and number of rinses.

Dog marked carpet washing has occurred. There was a bit left in the tank so half of each of the top four stairs has been given a bit of a seeing-to as well. Tomorrow morning when they're dry it'll be interesting to see how much difference it's made. The big stain on my office carpet might be losing it's grip. I hope so.

It seems only yesterday you said you were having Mary for a month Lamewolf, and now she's homeward bound. Do you have any more bookings?

I used to use the 40 Degree cycle for pretty much everything on my old machine but it seems to take about an hour and a half with this one. This one has a shorter cooler (30/30 cycle) 30 degrees and takes 30 minutes, so that gets used a lot now.
    Better is good enough.
