    Hi to all flyladys

I have just joined this forum, mainly to help sort out my finances. I have tried the flylady routine before and found it useful and would like to join your thread please? Due to illness I have let things go in the house and really need to sort it out, my main focus for a while will be de-cluttering but I will try to do some of the things you suggest as well. Do you start a new thread each Monday? and do I just post with how I am getting on?

    Thanks

    Welcome!

    Morning all

Sun is shining here but a cold war is in progress (not my doing) to go with the frosty chill in the air.

Boys all away to various things at different times. Just going to put the WM on and open the blinds so my seeds can see the sun, need to pot some on tis weekend and there are loads. Plus sow a few more.

Not much flying planned, but will do inside of downsairs windows as the window cleaners have been this week.

CY I may have missed how DH got on. Still thinking of you.

Welcome to the thread iammumtoone and good luck with sorting your finances.

New tasks get posted Monday to Friday and there is a new thread on a Sunday night. Do what you can, post to keep yourself motivated, and remember it will take time. It didn't get into a mess over night, you wont sort it all in half an hour. Just keep chipping away at it.

I went back to work five days a week in Feb 2011, I haven't been on top of the house or garden since. I should crack on today but the sun is shining, the empty green waste bin and the garden are calling me but OH wants to tile the back hall floor.

  • Friday flying update:

v@xed my BR carpet - all DS special stinky milk formula is now de-cluttered from carpet after another 4 hours hard graft

    WM filter de-gunked

WM x 3 - some bits hung over airer - the rest in baskets waiting to peg out today - or at least whack in TD on cheap leccy :money:

DD4 washable nappies put on long boil wash (about 3hr 15 mins) with a good couple of handfuls of household soda to "wash" out the machine along with washing powder (I cannot justify a boil wash just to clean the machine, but the nappies had been having a good long soak in biotex and rinsed in the shower before going in the WM)

    Kitchen floor & hallway hoovered

    LR floor de-gibbled

main compost box washed and bleached

Visit to hospital to collect last part of DD3 prescription

Put my repeat prescription in at my pharmacy

Collected the EX's prescription for him as a favour, as he may not be down for the kids until Sunday this weekend (low on meds and his pharmacy will be shut on Sunday)

DS collected his prescription sunglasses and had his regular glasses adjusted at specsavers

Got DD3 a set of prescription glasses with reactions lenses for £12 :money:

New fleabay bedding parcels opened and fitted on bed :D:D:D
(nice deep 16" mattress protecter and 16" deep fitted sheet) all 4 corners of bed intact this morning for the first time since this bed was purchased about 8 years ago :j:j:j:j I just wished I had searched for deep sheets a long time before now rather than just popping into @rgos for so called convenience

I have spent a good 6 hours on fb chat to DD1 at uni since 3.30 this morning, so flying today will consist of eating and snoozing.

I think I will bribe DD3 to peg out washing in minute - weather forecasts 67% humidity, that is as good as it is gonna get for me living by the coast too much moisture in the air and my whirly-gig is in the shade of the house so I will be lucky to get much drying done on there. My friend in Leyland has 40% humidity so her washing will be dry in no time at all :D - ah well, alls fair in love and war and flying.

Time for a :coffee: and decide what I can manage to day

Good morning all, welcome to the newbies and hugs and spoons to all in need. I woke up at 8:30 and normally on a Saturday would make a cuppa and take it back up with me, but, this morning, I got up and stripped the bed and that is now in the machine. I will strip DD's bed as soon as the first lot is finished.
DD has offered to do the bathroom!!! She is doing that now and I am sat watching SK. I think that while I'm here I could be getting on with some ironing, I'll finish this cuppa and get going at 10:15................join me if you can..............

    Many thanks.

The honest answer is we don't know yet. DH reckons the odds are 50:50. The change in redundancy arrangements means that if he goes next year rather than this the difference could be £20K!!!!!

Not certain what he wants to do.....

DD1 has been battling with nausea this week. She was up all night and isn't well enough to go to the CS today. Fingers and toes crossed that this is a minor hiccup and not a major relapse. Any spare spoons/posivibes/prayers much appreciated.

house is a tip and peasants are revoulting - so that's my day sorted....

Good morning, Following the success that I had yesterday in terms of what I managed to get done I have decided to do a similar list for today.

    My plan for this morning:

[STRIKE]Sort breakfast for me and the kids[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Sort the washing from yesterday as I have stuff lying in the laundry basket which is needing folded and put away[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Collect up washing and put a full load on, hang inside unless it brighten up[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Do surveys and other daily work[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Book table for tomorrow, as taking DM out for her birthday[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Phone DM to let her know that we are taking her out[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Write up recipes that I tried between 7/4 -14/4 and add to the folder[/STRIKE]

Feeling like I am getting somewhere today, as I have got everything done off this mornings list.

    My list for this afternoon:

    List 10 items on ebay
Clean the bath, shower, toilet and sink
[STRIKE]Do mystery shops that are in for this afternoon[/STRIKE]

OH decluttered to another city to watch a footie match with a friend, Lovely Lodger's parents decluttered on the coach to London, WM x 1 twirling and the sun is shining, although it's cold and windy - so good for drying. Dog has been dry for two nights - hurrah! The halves of the top four stairs that I washed last night look pretty good, so now that I've learned how to use the tools on the machine, I think I'll be able to work my way down them with the tank remnants on a regular basis. Excellent progress.

:coffee: for those that need it, and to help Ionafan with her Ebay parcel wrapping. *envious*

Perestroika and glasnost vibes for Dusty.

ETA: I'd just like to state, here and now for the record, that I am most decidedly not the 'Honey Bear' referred to in a certain newspaper story today. (I am female, for a start.)
    Better is good enough.

    Morning all

Unlike Skint Breeder I'm about as far away from the coast as one CAN be on this island- not THAt far from here so it's bright and dry and sunny and WARM here today! The barometer has whizzed round, past FAIR on its way to VERY DRY! Woot!

Load of washing out, some double-pegging has been employed to get everything on the lines!
