  • Skint - I'm exhausted just reading your list. Please can you send me some of your energy - I'm happy to pay for it :)

just trying to note down all the good stuff that is happening TMD I just wish it showed - working myself to a frazzle and the house still looks like the Pitz :(

I am having a :coffee: and a quick catch up on Fred, so feel free to take some spoons while I try to work out what will make this house look like a home rather than a Disaster Zone the Red Cross wants to send volunteers into :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: if I didn't laugh I think I would cry right now

DD3 goodwill has run out (coincidentally the same time my hard cash ran out ;) )and is back in sulky teenager mode and a civil conversation is impossible, let alone getting her to cuddle DD4 so I can get some listy stuff done :(

to resolve at some point soon - chocolate sandwich spread has been trodden into LR carpet last night (while DD3 just watched him do it )

DS cup of milk has been catapulted quite literally across my room from my bedside chest of drawers - casualties include my mattress, valance, my bedside cupboard and all its contents, my wardrobe doors, and a large portion of the carpet - apparrently he was pulling out the drawers one at a time to use as a ladder to try to reach my bolted wardrobe cupboards when gravity conspired against him.:mad: Thanks a bunch Gravity

DS has emptied his piggy bank to play pirates allegedly - so his "treasure" is hidden all over the house - daren't put DD4 down anywhere for tummy time until it is all accounted for :(

I think I will get the bedroom de-milked and crack out the V@x and de-camp to DD1's room for the foreseeable with DD4 and DS til my bed is properly dry

Chances of completing gloss work in dining room this week? H£ll has more chance of freezing over ;) oh well fun and games -

right time to catch up with rest of Fred
The cold never bothered me anyway

What are you flyladies doing with eggshells/strawberry plants, I must have missed something ??

for a guess they are sprinkling crushed eggshells around strawberries to make it VERY uncomfortable for slugs and snails.

Chewed the fat with my mum is all so far...:o

  • Pigpen thanks for the peg tips.....I leave mine on the line, but a lot of my Mr T cheap-o ones have shattered as soon as I tried to peg out after the cold snap

CY redundancies are pants, been through it twice myself - lots of posi-vibes on their way for Mr CY

Macpep I am just a sheep following on this eggshell/strawberry thing......I assume it is two fold, put some nutrition back into the pots and to make it uncomfortable for snails and slugs to invite themselves for a fruit buffet...I could be wrong, it wouldn't be the first time :rotfl:

    Afternoon all.

I tried to catch up with thread, but I've been interrupted that many times my mine has gone blank and I accidentally closed the tab with my replies in :( Its going to be one of those days isn't it? :rotfl: Hugs, spoons, vibes to all :D

Oh well, paid stuff today. Well that the theory. All I've managed to do so far is dailies, a wash load and a quick visit to the shop for salad supplies and to post a DVD back :o Just debating whether to put my washing out on the line or use the TD due to the high winds...

    Kitchen
    Level one

Clear and wipe work surfaces - main areas done. Could do with moving stuff and getting into all the corners.
    Level Two
Mop floors, Use a cloth to get right into the corners and do any skirtings too
Wipe the cupboards, appliances and all those manky corners!!
    Wipe table and chairs
    Level three
Wipe over all those small appliances.. don't forget the inside of the microwave!
Wipe out the icky parts of the fridge and have a quick check for what needs restocking.

    Living Room, Hall and Stairs
    Level Two
Clean windows and all glass, including the tv screen
    Level Three
    HHI

    Bathroom and Pc Area
    Level One

    Clean bath sinks and toilets
    Level Three
    Clean shelves.
    Bleach brush
Bring toothbrush cup down to be cleaned

    Misc To do:
Contact fire brigade to see if they still do home safety checks - our free smoke alarms no longer work.
List DD's old violin for sale.
Contact council to come and move old fire etc.

    Work:

Put through returns & pay bill
    Package returns
Collect book from customer - oops! Will have to call in the morning instead. I'm already in my pjs :o No answer when I called on the way to the shops. I can see her house from mine so I'll wait for some signs of life before I go and knock again.

Right, going to go and assess the laundry & line situation, then have some lunch before I start work. :)
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

Same here that is why I need new ones but we are away to B&Q shortly so I shall demand we stop by Dunelm on the way home as I need a new lasagne pan since mine tried to fly and I'll grab pegs while there.

Ikea delivery delivered.. 2 new bookcases and a futon chair for the girls room should sort some floor space.

OH is playing Mr erection section later to erect all the new stuff :D

CY Hugs to your OH and his colleagues. Horrible for you. Hang on in there Skint. The Skint Ritz will develop out of the chaos with the amount of work you are putting in.

Successful trip out with DS1, parcel collected, form collected, appointments made, bread purchased and I think he is now ready to venture out on his own

I was going to town this afternoon but the sun is shining so I think I'll go into the garden and go to town tomorrow instead.

Hoovering done. I'll slop some vinegar in the shower to descale it when I go up to change into my 'gardening clothes'.
