  • I've not done much flying today, as I took dd to toddler group and then decided to go out for lunch with some of the other mums so that is me just back. I think I will grab a cuppa whilst catching up with the thread and decide what I am going to do with the rest of today but it will need to include some flying, as I really need to try and get the house sorted out.

under the table is now tidy and decluttered
4 brown bags of paper recycling have gone outside
have still got a folder of knitting patterns to go through some of them ill never knit so ill cull a few of them into a folder for the CS
got a bit more shredding to do now ive been through the scout folder

then id better start on the rest of the tidying - scanning the room youd think i havent borthered today as the tidy bit is now hidden.

I would also like to say how helpful Flylady is for me. My health does get in the way of housework but even if I miss a day/week out I don't feel judged at all. You are all so welcoming and lovely. Looking at what I have achieved over the day/week makes me feel like I am doing something. Funny how writing things down makes them feel more real.

Huggies for dancemum and a big stick duly chucked.

So I've finished paid stuff for the week, with quite a lot achieved :T and on arriving home I see the ironing fairy has been :T and the kiddies beds made and pjs folded etc.

So I've got the masking tape out and taped the edges of the stair carpet and I will gloss the skirting and spindles later when kiddies are in bed. Just having a cuppa then I'll go collect them.

Got a play date tomorrow morning, gardening on Friday if weather ok, football and lunch plans on Saturday, and a kiddies party on Sunday.

The plan tomorrow is to pop to shops after play date to get a couple of little birthday pressies if I can't find anything in my stash... Two boys, a 2yo and a 3yo so should be easy enough...

MIL brought her posh new Gucci watch to show me last night, very pretty, have watch envy, bless her she said I just wanted to show you so when you have to clear our house out (! I am their executor) don't throw this box away, sell it :D I said "beggar that, love, I shall be pinching it!!!"

Hope all are well, will try and catch up on the thread in a bit................xx
  • OH THE SHAME!!!!!!!

After doing the school run this morning, 4 builders arrived to do some jobs the Letting Agent has authorised. They needed to see our bedroom window sill from the INSIDE:eek::eek::eek::eek:

They had to come through the kitchen
    - floor filthy whilst waiting for steam mop to arrive today - still not here BTW
    - pots not done:eek:
    - kitchen table full of OH's craft stuff:eek:
    - Dirty laundry all over the utility:eek:
    - pots of paint and paint trays out and not yet scrubbed clean:eek:

Then they came through into the lounge
    - pasting table in the middle of the room
    - breakfast dishes left by kids on the table
    - general gibble on the table:eek:

    Through the hall and stairs
    - DON'T EVEN GO THERE :eek::eek::eek:

    Into our bedroom
    - bed unmade:eek:
    - dirty laundry from yesterday dumped on the floor:eek:
    - 2 baskets of laundry waiting to be put away:eek:
    - curtains closed:eek:
    - contents of handbag dumped on the side whilst I was having a cull the other day.

    I felt a right tramp :o:

It's never perfect - that's why I'm here - but geniunely, since coming back from camping holiday on Friday, working at the weekend, decorating and working some more all day and night Sunday, the house has had to take a backward step.

You have never seen me move so fast in my life. :rotfl: They have to do outside work on the house which involves looking through windows in the next couple of days and I really want them to see I am not always that slovenly. I was mortified!!!!!!!!!!!!

Learned my lesson, I tell you.

Working off list today as I have to do lots of prep for a catering job on Saturday, but I'm here in spirit :D

Right, off my behind and get dinner on - DD has Brownies at 6.

Smaller letting bedroom pulled to bits, spring cleaned and put back together. Bigger letting bedroom cleaned properly, including duster-on-a-stick being shoved down the radiator to remove large gobbets of vintage dust. Lodger's fridge de-gunged and shower room cleaned to within an inch of its life, including the floor being washed. Both Dy$ons have been flashed up and zoomed around - stereo vacuumming! (I heart OH.) Dusting and bed-making has occurred for Lovely Lodger who returns tonight, along with her parents for a couple of days to settle her in.
    Better is good enough.

Some flying done... but not as much as I should have... Spent most of the afternoon researching business bank accounts... I haven't come across one bank with good reviews  of the four I am considering, after looking at lots of customer reviews, I rated 3 'appalling' and 1 'reasonable' :o Any recommendations/suggestions??

DD being annoying and I have a headache so I'm going to take myself off for a little walkies for some fresh air (nice sunny evening here)

    xx
