I have been flying in my kitchen - cleared worksurface before I went out this morning.

Just wiped it down. The green colour (think mint choc chip ice cream green) is lovely; I'm very pleased (and relieved as I have had the paint so long and was fed up with buiying it, and changing my mind, and taking it back:rotfl:)

CY I've recently read to great books on menopause/hrt/other meds etc - FB me if you want the titles.

Just done a flylady front garden litter pick- well actually neighbours garden and the outside of their large hedge - as I was putting my wheelie bin out and it was only half full.

I'm done for the day but think I'll create a list for the rest of the week.

    Hi all,

Manic paid stuff today, then went to other bank to pay in sdad cheques, and pinch money from kiddies ;) (not really, but its earning zilch so I've withdrawn some and will find a better home for it), quick mr m visit for milk and snacks, then faffed with car bonnet for 20min trying to get screen wash in...

Called school this aft to accept place and ask about pastoral care. They have 2 full time family care workers apparently. As they were taking my details they asked for dh's also, so of course I had to explain and ended up crying down the phone :o lady was ever so nice and has made a note of our "situation" and one of the care workers will contact me when all the parent packs are issued and set up a meeting :A. I'm just concerned that all the long term bereavement support I've read thus far for schools classes the funeral as the long term support need! Huh? I need them to understand that the children will be dealing with this for years, and they need to know how to work with them so as to allow them to manage it.

So I just feel done in after all that, and that, ladies, is my excuse for doing bog all flying today...

    Night. Mwah.

<we're having a quiet couple of days after tomorrow, so I'll catch up then>

Hi to all newbies. Don't panic if you go off list and do your own thing - you'll find that after a few weeks, the house seems easier to deal with anyway as things get better. I still live by the "don't put it down - put it away" which I think is one of Valli's as it can really save time in the long run.

I've been flying mainly in the garden today; my word there are a lot of weeds to declutter. And why does grass grow in flower beds so much more energetically than it grows on the lawn?

I've now caught up on thread which is just as well, as I've absolutely promised myself that I'll finish and email a particular report tonight even if it's midnight. So bye for now and if you see me again, kick me hard.

Not that even the person who has it as a motto abides by it...

I'm a tiny bit stunned. A youth DS knows, from school, has, it appears, taken his own life - this has led to DS having a conversation with me about people he knows who've had to put up with bad things in their lives. And how lucky he is because he hasn't had anything bad happen in his.
I'm stunned because he seems to have completely disregarded the divorce, and the hassle we've had since, as being a problem at all.
He was 10, well able to remember all this and he threw some terrific strops at the time.
Not quite sure what to make of it all....

And sounds as if you've done a great job on your son.

Before anyone kicks me, the report has been emailed :j
