What is it about a bit of commonsense that finally helps the penny to drop? I don't knit, but I now realise that I will, eventually, be getting a smart phone. I've always thought it was one of the things I could go to my grave without needing to own, but there will be an app, probably not yet written that I won't be able to live without one day. When I know what it is, I'll get a smartphone, so thanks for that PP.

I succumed to a smart phone when the price of a contract became the same as I was spending on texts to DD :p When DH sees the Star Map app, he'll want one too :rotfl:

Meant to say earlier - well done Ionafan :j:j:j:j

Glad to report that I'm back to my normal self, making decisions and being busy. I now do have a bit of an understanding of what some of you face very regularly though.

Lamewolf, thanks for the toss a coin/dice idea, it makes total sense and I can see it being of use if only to establish my gut feelings. I'm glad MrLW was ok with the mower, scarey.

I've spent 2 hours deep cleaning the inside of the new car which was filthy. The mats are drying in the sun and will need another good hoover. The seats need cleaning with some upholstery stuff tomorrow - any recommendations?

    I've made 2 phone calls
    Done 3 loads of washing
Dusted everywhere bar 2 rooms which I shall do after this cup of tea.

I'll do some ironing tonight. Off to have a quick look at the IK£A book.

Having an 'interesting' day - have been taken off HRT due to blood pressure issues (it might have helped if the GP who gave it to me had checked it before she gave it to me!)

But I have put my name down for a home blood pressure kit... and have booked for a battery of blood tests, inc cholesterol, next week.

Apparently my menopausal symptoms can be helped by a low dose of antidepressant - Citalopram to be precise. I looked it up on the net - I do NOT like the sound of the side-effects.

Anyway I have to go back in a month....

Otherwise - have been to work, where i manged to get us on the field - it was fantastic!

Plenty of washing has been done and dried and the washing machine has had an extra run through with white vinegar in!

Should have ironed, but I really couldn't be bothered! So I sat and read my book - one of the Railway Detective Series (DD1 got me 2 for Christmas from the charity shop - I am really enjoying them!)

Hope everyone is OK - belated congrats to ionafan and her o/h and swift and smooth house purchasing vibes are coming your way.

I'm hoping that today picks up at S/W tonight... fingers crossed!

CY.. One of most common side effects is rapid weight gain.. my mother was on it for migraines and gained almost 3 stone in 2 months. I know you have worked really hard to lose weight so just wanted to warn you.

Another binbag of recycling out!!! I'm going to ring up for a 3rd recycle bin mine are permanently full!!

Thanks for the good wishes folks. I needed strength as I was sat in the Surgery for 2 hours. It was worth it in the end as the Locum I saw was lovely.

Not on the Flylady List but I have spent all afternoon on the 'phone/e-mails doing admin stuff. Amongst other things have arranged a telcon with work tomorrow as GP not impressed with them!

CY I am on Citalopram, though not for menopause things - I think that the list of side effects is there to cover anything they can think of, and much of it is contradictory - diarrhoea or constipation for example! I don't really think I have suffered anything noticeable and that's after 10 months. Everyone's different though.

So rather too much low level flying - just off to finish my dailies and find some dinner.
    Work is not my Hobby
  • CY - another Citalopram user - suits me fine. I have put weight on this last couple of years, but just put it down to giving up smoking Aug 2011 and now living out in the sticks, we use the car as soon as we step out of the house which is not good for the waistline. I could be pre-menopausal too, so I was expecting to thicken up around the waist, and I have!

Mrs LW - I think you are the first person I have met that has a mower in the loft :rotfl: Glad Mr LW is unhurt.

Welcome to the newbies - start gently with a half hour here and there and you'll soon pick up the pace. The best tip is not to stress if you fancy a day off/have too much on already - the list comes around again, and again, and again ........... :D

Decided to risk putting the washing out on the line this morning and came home to a dry load, all present and correct. The wind was so wild this morning, I had visions of DD's pink knickers flying past me on the A66!

Going to walk the dog in a mo as it's beautifully sunny still and then I'll think about HH tidying-up after that.
