    Hello flyladies

Thank you for the pms re business bank accounts - very helpful indeed.

I'm too scared to look at the lists :( although I have done a lot this morning clearing gibble, dusting and cleaning the kitchen.

Is it sad that I enjoy looking a pictures of pegs other people use? :o I have pegs like the first ones pigpen shows, in a nice light blue/grey colour.
DH has just rung - the redundancy news is out:- 2,000+ jobs are going countrywide and a substantial proportion will be in OH's area of work!

Oh and to add to my joy - they have substantially cut the redundancy package!

B*gger. This is where you so need to be a member of a union... I hope they fight as far as they can & Mr CY is untouched...

    Good afternoon

CY - hope the news is good for DH. There's a lot of redundancies about just now :(

Dusty - is that DS1 driving alone? My DS passed his test last year, and it's been great having him as the occasional taxi, and much easier oif he wants to go somewhere, he just goes, rather than one of us having to take him :D

Going to update my list, do a few final jobs, finish a pair of knitted mittens for DD and then oput to collect DH before going out for a spot of tea, then some stand-up :j:j:j:j

Was very tempted to make some obvious comment about your current condition - but will refrain!

Many thanks for all the good wishes - both today (O/H's job) and yesterday (medication related). We won't know for a while... he is in the union, but the jobs are going to India and the union won't be able to stop it!

Off to visit mate with broken foot later...

Seriously though, CY, hope everything works out for the best X

So we are home, kiddies are bickering (tired I think) so I'm going to get on and do stuff and try to ignore them. We stopped at m@talan on the way home, dd has new socks, DS a sheet for his bed (forgot the sheets were bigger :o we had to pinch the spare bed one... And some canvas c0nverse style flowery ankle pumps for me. Oh and 3 new mugs. Large. For large tea breaks. DD is currently wearing said flowery pumps, far to big and still fastened together with elastic :rotfl: she's a funny one.

So I'm trying out my new mug :coffee: then I will crack on - upstairs I think...(might be more peaceful :D)

Yes, he passed early May last year but has not had an opportunity to drive (our cars too big and powerful). His bf has just got a new car so we have bought his old one to share, I've not driven a little car for a long while but surprisingly really like it. He needed to get used to driving again so I've been taking him out and we feel he is now ready for journeys which he knows well. It is only 7 weeks until he goes to the US for the summer so then it will just be me driving it (should be a lot less on fuel than my guzzler).

As soon as I put the washing on the line it started to rain, stopped now.

CY fingers crossed for your DH (been there with my DH twice and it's not nice)

GI great news on the Maths for your DD, a box well and truly ticked.

Going to wash the bathroom floor now as I have deemed it too cold and windy to garden but I will sort my seeds this afternoon too.

  • I've not done much flying today as I had to deal with some clients this morning (paid) and I am just grabbing a quick 5 minutes to catch up with the thread before I take ds to the dentist. Whilst in town I need to pop into shop for a couple of things for the dinner. Once I come back from town I will sort out to do lists for tonight, Friday, Saturday and Sunday as well as catch up with the rest of the thread.
