  • Hi EE, I've done the chore rota, we had a family meeting last night and sat at the dining table after tea and made one up, their jobs are turn taking in washing up, feeding G pigs, laying / clearing table. I've also done them an activity rota so that they can see what they have on and what they need to get ready for it, so brownie uniform ready, swimmimg things etc. I have also told them that if they don't stick to it and end up getting 3 warnings in a week for not doing chores/ getting activity things ready then they will lose something they enjoy, DD will be a horse riding lesson and DS a karate lesson, we wil see how we get on.

Also thankyou EE for offering the shoes that is very sweet and I would take you up on it but DD is now in a size 4:eek:, she is tall. I will have to hide my shoes soon :(.

Have spent most of today doing housework and I'm slowly getting there, i'm currently in the middle of cleaning of oven:eek:.
I have a basketful of Ironing to do, but will do that when kids are in bed.

Hope everyone is having a nice sunday and enjoying the sunshine.
  • Thanks for all the tips with chicken pie :) i'm not very creative when it comes to leftovers, I will try this next time though :)

I'm sorry to hear you're stressed Penny :( I hope it all eases up for you soon. I think giving the kids some menial tasks that you hate the most is the way forward here ;) I used to do the ironing when I was about 13/14 onwards. My mum hated it! Funny enough, I hate it too now ;) but at least I can do it :p I've taught my eldest how to cook, put the washing machine on, put the DW on & how to sort washing out into colours (i know you would think it simple....!) He still has fits and starts of when he wants to help though! His main job is to do the recycling as I hate it :p and it all needs separating from the big bin we just throw it all in, he also walks the dog if I don't have time :) his treat is pocket money a £10 a month contract phone and not to be grounded :rotfl::rotfl:

  • Thanks dfw123, its funny how kids can be so helpful when they want something, lol.

Oven sparkly and have a victoria sponge cooking.

Trying to get on top of all the washing so I can start the week with an empty washing basket and ironing basket.

Bathroom needs degrotting, but gonna leave it until the kids have have had their showers later, otherwise it will need doing again.

With all the bright sunshine today its really noticeable that my windows need a good clean, so that's a job for this week.
  • Evening, had a busy old week and havn't got round to posting, not that anything exciting has happened.

Totally p1$$ed off with ebay, to the point that I don't think I will bother anymore, horrible buyer has taken a case out against me over a 99p item.
Sold a small value item and it was only small so just posted it in the letter box with a stamp on it, didn't hear anything for 10 days and then see that a case has been taken out against me because the buyer hasn't received item, they didn't try and contact me to sort it out or anything, so I thought for 99p and the cost of a stamp would just refund them apologies for Royal mail and forget about it, OH no i keep getting horrible messages from them how they want the item and a refund isn't good enough, I don't have the blinking item, I posted it to them, I told them if it arrives just to keep it and i don't want payment, but thats not good enough either, just finding it so upsetting that someone can be so horrible, I've done everything i can possible do.
  • ((Hugs))

Theres so right evil **** on Ebay lately dont let them upset you xx
  • Thanks Hiddenidentity, some people obviously have so little going on in their lives that they have to do this, your right not going to let it upset me.

Evening pwps, don't let stupid people upset you they're really not worth it, to be honest I find it easier and a lot less stressful to sell on local Facebook group, plus no fees or postage to pay.

Hope you have a good weekend xx

  • I know how you feel Penny. That sort of thing annoys me too. Far more than I should let it but it does. Takes me about a week to get that sort of annoyance out of my head. Ebay is super when it works but there are some very strange people out there and we all meet an odd one now and again.

Chin up and forget it asap. Take care
  • Ah sorry to hear the ebay troubles :( I gave up on ebay for one reason or another, I also use fb or gumtree. For 99p I think that is very petty xx

  • Can't believe I've not posted this week.

Not really much to update, work is busy and kids are back into the swing of school.

It was Payday for me this week so bank account is looking healthier and I've also made £11.50 between ebay and surveys.

Today has been a quiet day at home home as I am feeling really tired, so have just pottered around the house and done some light housework, also made a victoria sandwich cake.

Hope everyone is well( if your still reading).
