  • Hi elly thanks for posting, the condensed milk is a good idea for a quick sauce.

DFW i make a bechamel sauce, sautee off some mushrooms add to the sauce, chuck in the chicken and put in a pie dish, then just cover in shortcrust pastry.

and you have reminded me kids need new wellies as well, god its never ending.
  • You are all putting me in the mood for chicken pie. Will def. have to try making one penny.

I know it never ends with kids does it!!!

Hope this rain stops as I have a pile of washing to get dried.

I just chuck left over chicken in a pan with some sad mushrooms that usually need using up or any veg to be honest and a tub of own brand cream cheese with garlic and herbs.

Penny, the thought of Christmas terrifies me, but mine will be getting really cheap old fashioned things, dominos and draughts and chess and gloves and hats if we don't get a new boiler!!

  • Afternoon.

Sorry I have not been posting, this week seems to have run away with me and i'm not keeping on top of things very well, hpefully I will be back in the swing of things next week.

Spendy week this week, went into town adn got DS some new trainers, these cost me £23 which I didn't think was too bad for branded trainerd, DD needed a new cardigan as its getting cooler and she has had a huge growth spurt over the summer, I can see her needed several new bits over the next couple of months, cardigan is a gorgeous fluffy one that she choose in new look so that was another £20 spent.

Went out with a friend for drinks, spent £16 but was a fun evening, just gossiping and putting the world to rights.

Bought DD a book from works bokclub, that I've put away for xmas that was another £5 spend.

Today I went to aldi and spent a whopping £60, did buy quite a boit and some beers also jumped into the trolley.

Recieved more freebies this week, some ariel washing tab things and some coffee.

I really need to do some baking, DD is currently making some chocolate truffles which we will have as a treat during x factor.

I have a couple of items listed on ebay, DH has also listed a couple of items, so fingers crossed we make a few quid between to pay some more bills off.

Hope everyone reading is well and again apologies for not posting much I will get back into the swing of things soon I promise.
  • Sorry about the spelling in the previous post, I'm tired as I'm not sleeping very well.
  • Sorry to hear you aren't sleeping well. Anything we can help with? Xx
