Good morning, thankyou all for you kind words it really means so much.
Yesterday was another mental day and it was supposed to be my half day and I worked all day in the end, just too much going on.
STill feeling tired and overwhelmed, house still looks like a bomb has gone off, going to do my timer thing tonight where I set it and do a room at a time for ten mins, amazing how much you can get done, not doing the kids room told them they have to do it.
Made £5.54 on ebay at the weekend and last night withdrew £30 from GTM:), need to sit down and work out which card I'm going to attack next after vet bill is done with (currently down to £400ish).
Off to hang out washing as we have sunshine and make packed lunches.0 -
Morning Pennywise,
Sorry to read youve been feeling down but glad you were feeling a bit better this morning.
Good plan on the 10 minute thing for the house work!
I noticed in your signature that youve added the months countdown, this is fab and you will notice how fast they seem to go down.
Chin up and keep talking to us if youre not feeling yourself xxMummytogirls x0 -

Did meter reading for eon and they have put our DD up to £120 from £62, we have been telling them we were not paying enough and now we are £350 in debt to them .
Hi pennywisepoundstupid
Hope you don't mind me popping on to your diary but just thought I might be able to offer a bit of advice.
As I'm sure you're aware, part of the new amount will be to clear the outstanding balance. If we've failed to act on your requests to increase payments in the past, then it may be possible to spread re-payments of the balance over a longer period.
Might not make a great difference but could be worth asking the question.
Also, we've recently increased our prices. Therefore, make sure you're on the best tariff for your circumstances. I'd pop your usage in kWh on to one of the comparison sites. This will give you various options, both with us and with the other suppliers.
If you expect your circumstances to change significantly in the next few months, we'll be happy to look at reducing payments to reflect this.
A great way to reduce future payments is by cutting the amount of energy used and we can help with this. When you've a bit of spare time, have a chat to our Energy Efficiency guys. They specialise in helping people cut back and will be happy to talk to you.
Check out our website, too. Particularly the 'Interactive House' and 'Energy Menu.' There's lots of good tips there.
Sorry to intrude but hope you find the above useful.

Thankyou eon rep for posting.
We will be paying the £121 a month to pay off the debt and then switching back to scottish power.
I cannot believe how much it is costing us, we have gone from paying £92 for gas and electric and managing to build up a credit in the spring/summer to paying £121 for just electricity (oil central heating), we are not using anymore than previously.
So today has been a NSD and hopefully tomorrow will be as well, DH at work late tonight, so quick tea of sausage butties and icecream and fruit for pud.
Can't wait for payday on friday, can start paying bills and do a big shop, also need petrol.0 -
Quick question - can anyone tell me how long a cheque is valid for? Reason I'm asking is I checked my bank account this morning and a cheque had gone out, I very rarely write cheques these days as I tend to use cash, It wasn't from my recent cheque book, so after checking my old cheque book stubs I found it was a cheque I had written 2 years ago  and the person had never banked it.
I'm more concerned that the bank hasn't noticed the date, or the date has been altered by the person it was written to, I know I have to pay the cheque its just annoying when it's 2 years old.0 -
Cheques are normally only valid 6months. Ring the bank asap (before 2pm at the latest) and get them to ring the clearing centre and pull the cheque. Assuming you don't want it paid. If you do want it paid then still ring to complain. the bank can get a photocopy of your cheque (which they will charge you for) but at least then the date could be checked and if they are at fault you could get somewhere with compensation XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31.
