I have managed to get 3 loads of washing dry outside today, just need to iron it all now. It has been lovely weather wise today and I have loved the fact that I've been able to have the back door open all day, the house feels really fresh now.
Due to DD not being home for tea I have re-jigged the meal plan, should have been eating Gammon, egg, chips and peas for tea, but have decided to give DH and DS left over lamb casserole mash and peas andI will have poached eggs on toast, which means tonights tea can be saved for tomorrow, so I've saved a meal.
Heating has also been on all day
Well done on saving a meal. I love it when I can do that and feel really proud of myself (saddo that I am) I've got a freezer surprise out again for tomorrow's dinner, no idea what it is as DH cooked it lol so really will be a surprise :rotfl:

Yup, Essex! It had best be clearer and warmer for tomorrow when we have to stand on a pitch for 2 hours :eek: it's been so cold!MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. I'm really battling with myself as we havn't got loads of food in, but if I did a shop it would mean putting it on a CC, old habits die hard.
Meal plan until Wed:
Sun - (B) cereal/toast (L) cheese Panini + fruit/HM cake (T) gammon egg chips + HM cake/ice cream.
Mon - (B) cereal (L) cheese or egg sandwiches, HM cake, fruit, crisps (T) beef stew, yorky puds, peas + jelly fruit ice cream.
Tue - (B)cereal (L) cheese or tuna sandwich, HM cake, fruit, crisps (t) chicken pie, mash carrots and broc + ?.
I will go shopping Tuesday evening, I'm taking lentil dahl for my lunches, I might need to buy some milk and fruit, we have everything else. SO WHY AM I STRESSING?0 -

Morning all, not much to update really but thought I would make a pot of coffee and have a catch-up of diaries.
Its another beautiful day here so more washing has been hung out to dry and I'm trying to Iron it as I bring it in.
All animals are fed and watered and I've chopped sticks and brought in logs for later when I llight the woodburner, it is still feeling very cool in an evening.
Picked DD up from sleepover, I don't think she has had any sleep so I've sent her back to bed for a few hours.
DH has gone to the rental house, he is going to tidy the garden of all the carp that the skanky person has left dumped everywhere (there is even dirty nappies).
Hope everyone is ok.x.0 -
I am uber jealous of your weather, it's still horrible here.
Why do we all seem to attract awful tenants on this forum  One of mine ex tenants also left dirty nappies, wipes and animal droppings lying about the house before leaving  it's disgusting how some people live! I've been helping a friend clean her house ready for handing back and OMG it's filthy. There are cat hairs everywhere and there are more marks on the carpet than clean bits  and she quite openly told me that she hadn't hoovered in months and didn't see the point in cleaning when the kids would mess it up again  I was gobsmacked and came back to my house and for once thought "wow my house is gleaming" haha xxMORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. Sorry to say it but over here in Surrey its been lovely and sunny today dfw.
I've said it before on here I'm a nightmare for putting off doing the housework but if I knew my ll was wanting to come round or I was having friends round I'd definitely make an effort to clean up, equally I'm a pretty clean person, and as I've no pets I don't have anything other than my own hair to content with. But I cannot understand anyone who would want to live in dirty conditions, just nasty. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Hi PWPS I am glad at least someone has had similar weather to me here in Kent... that person being dfw! I spent 4 hours outside in 3 layers and was frozen! Jellytot was in 5 layers and warm as toast. Must do that next time for me as well!!
I've said it before but I cannot understand how anyone can leave their home in such a state. Someone elses house or not, how can they not be ashamed to live like that? My house, I will readily admit, is having the worlds biggest clean up tomorrow once madam is at nursery and I have a 6 hour run at it. but it isn't filthy! It just.., has this clean once a week and then tides over till the following one with regular cleans of the kitchen & the loo and just tidying elsewhere!
I've had pets. And my dog trashed the carpets. I know it can be hard but I bought a vax floor cleaner, the washing hoover things. And that dealt with it!
You see it on the news and those programmes on tv like Kim & Aggie. Makes me feel sick!!
Am glad you're almost ready to put it back on the market. Looking for another tenant? Or selling!?! xx

Evening all, feeling really down and tearful and its not even wrong time of the month.
Picked kids up from school, went and did horse and then went shopping to sainsbugs, nipped to Post office to post a card and also bank to pay in a cheque that has been sat on the side for 2 weeks, spent £38 in sainsbugs and £3 in pet shop, came home to find DH getting ready to go out with friends, so I made tea and put shopping away, sorted DD out with medicine, throat sweets and tucked her into bed as she is full of cold.
Ds is being down right difficult, I think it is end of term tiredness but even so he is still being a pain, his school are doing various Easter activities this week, tomorrow being a decorated egg comp, so yesterday when he got in from school I asked him if he was taking part, response was no can't be bothered so I left it. I have just walked into the dining room to find cardboard, paint all over my dining table and DS turned to me and said can you boil some eggs, I've just lost the plot as its 10 mins to bedtime and he has done this, now I'm the worst mum in the world and I never let him do anything, I'm quite upset and as usual DH is not around to back me up.
Going to rental house tomorrow straight after work to try and get some more painting done, Hopefully we will get it it finished next week during the Easter hols and then it can go on the market, Its hard trying to get it done when either I have to go on my own or DH has to go on his own, I'm sure we would get more done if we could go together, but as in laws are being difficult and won't help us out with childcare at the minute ( they don't think we should sell so are being difficult).
My brain seems to be so cluttered and I'm so distracted that I feel totally out of control with everything,no extra has been paid off Mr T CC, Last night I received £30 from GTM and £4 from Pinec0ne and £136 Child ben this morning (t0tal £160) and it has gone.
£95 ha1ifax card.
£38 Sainsbugs
£3 pet food.
£20 fuel.
I've put a cheque in bank for £8.11, I have a couple of pounds in my purse and waiting on £10 from pane1base. Roll on payday on Tuesday.
Hope everyone is ok.x.0
