  • Quick one from me this evening, not been sleeping well this week and \I could do with an early night.

SPent £30 today on a birthday present for MIL, still need to get her something else small to go with it.

Received £7.84 from a survey company into paypal so I paid that straight off Mr T CC, I have also redeemed £3 from mysurvey.

Tomorrow we are going to see MIL and check rental property, A friend that is a cleaner is meeting me there and going to give me a price for cleaning the place, I know its not MSE but I really can't face it, I'm heartbroken at what has been done to the place and I think I will feel a bit better once it has been cleaned, then DH will go in and fix various things, replaster the walls that need it and I will then start painting.

    Take care.x.

I think you are very sensible asking someone else to clean it for you. I wouldn't be able to face it either.

I hope you get a good nights sleep tonight and wake up feeling a bit better.

P.S Mothers Day 15th March... Just so you know xx

  • Afternoon all.

Wet miserable morning so didn't get to hang out any washing.

We have only had the woodburner on to heat the house today, kept CH off, so heating of house has been free today, fingers crossed we are getting to the point of not having the CH on much if at all, I think I'm going to give it to the end of the Easter holidays (mid April) and then say that's it until Oct/Nov for CH we are just heating house using free wood.

Have baked some flapjack this afternoon, made a quiche for tea and I'm going to go and make a meat and potato pie shortly for tomorrow's tea a we have some braising steak in gravy left over from last night's tea, If I add lots of potatoes it will eek it out for the 4 of us tomorrow, maybe I should be calling it potato, gravy and a bit of meat pie :rotfl:.

I have 3 items ending on £bay tonight but none have bids so I don't suppose they are going to sell, never mind I will relist.

Went to mr Ald! this morning and spent £35, which was less than budgeted as I decided not to buy the whole chicken that I had meal planned for tomorrow and make a pie instead.

No payments have been made to Mr T card this weekend as no extra money has been made :(, but DD payment goes out to them tomorrow (£148).

Also DH did some extra work last week and got paid with a big bale of hay, now to normal folk that will sound nuts but to horsey folk it's brilliant :j.

Hope everyone has had a good weekend, take care.x.

Glad your tenants have left, hopefully the deposit will go some way towards the repairs, but still annoying. I can't believe how some people have no respect, people like that don't deserve to live in someone else's property

Haha when I was a kid I used to do chores down at the local farm for hay :rotfl: too many animals.. :D

Potato pie sounds good. Did you ram some peas and carrot in ;) - I put lentils in everything now. So much so that I just bought 5kg of red and 2.5kg of green :D lol

Woohoo for free heating!! Mines not been on at all today! :D even had the windows open without wearing coats indoors ;) Spring is coming!

  • Thanks for posting ladies, apologies for not replying individually to you but I have a migraine and going to bed shortly.

Quick update, sold a small item on ebay last night and received £7.80 from a survey site last night so I sent a payment of £10 to Mr T CC this morning.

Chucked a load of past it veggies, lentils and stock in a pan last night, ended up with a very tasty soup, which I took to work today and have enough for 2 more days.

Hope everyone is ok, will catch up properly tomorrow.x.
