Capitalization issues often arise from a computer versus good grammar conflict.

It was more an issue in the earlier days of the 'tinternet' but it sill can cause conflicts even to this day and age.…..... When form filling, case sensitivity can be important.

I normally teach people to try and separate the two 'computer versus good grammar ' issues....

When writing try to use good grammar.
When form filling, computer input, password on accounts, devices ect. then try to stick to the same case unless there is a specific reason not to.

The problem solving for friends and family over lost passwords always links back to case issues, well nearly all ways ;-)

I've sent 3 items to addresses which didn't exist on the RM database, but they arrived OK and got signatures.. I even tried google street view and only found 1 (which was a big sign on a door telling the postman where to go)

The lower case letter thing could quite easily be resolved if Ebay and Amazon (which also often has lower case letters) did something about it.

Totally agree - if both companies did a form fill and selected from a look-up address option we wouldn't have these problems.

It must be a major PITA for high volume/frequent sellers

Is it just me or does anyone else find it annoying when buyers have entered their name and address details in ALL lower case?!

Yes, it annoys me quite a lot

I also find it fairly annoying when they don't put their post town in, and the only town detail is some small village I've never heard of.

I used to google the post code to add the post town, although I've stopped doing that now, but it still annoys me!

Personally not bothered. though posts in all capitals does irritate as in interweb world that means shouting,

Yes, lack of capitals in the correct place is a bug-bearer of mine too! Names, whether it be your own, a town, city, country should all start with a CAPITAL LETTER!
