Has anyone used them for large purchases?? The travel system and car seat we have chosen works out nearly £80 cheaper than John Lewis but DH is a huge JL fan and worried they will be of a lesser quality
SeptemberBaby - John Lewis will price match it (never knowingly undersold and all that). I've done it before at JL with kiddicare stuff. Best of both worlds :T :T :TProud to be a MoneySaver!

SeptemberBaby - Here is the JL policy:

I didn't have any problems getting them to honour it.Proud to be a MoneySaver!

Hi I am new to this board.
I have DS 4, DD 2 1/2, and a 3rd one due in September. We are very excited etc and this baby was planed but I am in total denial!! Have done nothing in preparation for new baby at all, think this i mainly because its due a week after my son starts school and I very focused on that.
The sleeples nights I am expecting and know there is precious little I can do in the early weeks other than get through it.
I am worried about feeding though. I breastfed DS until he was5 months, it was fairly easy.
DD was a different matter, she struggled, I was in agony for 4 weeks and eventually gave up.
I would like to try with this one but am worried that I am being unrealistic with 2 small ones already and the whole new school run thing.
Can anyone offer any advice on breast feeding 3rd or subsequent children when the older ones are still very young.
Thanks in advance

Hi everybody!
it's been quite a while since i posted because i have had so much going on but basically, I've graduated! yay! :j I got a 2:1 which is something of a minor miracle considering i felt so crappy throughout the revision period and was even sick during my final exam. (Well I say graduated, but I didn't actually go to the graduation ceremony. there are going to be quite enough pictures of me looking greasy and spotty and unflattering oversized gowns already)
and i have got a proper job. I love it to pieces. they know i am pg so wrap me up in cotton wool and give me loads of little perks. Its by far the best paid job i've ever had but theres still a bit of worry as ive only got a contract til the end of july and i need to work til the end of august to qualify for maternity allowance. I'm hoping to beg them to keep me on til then.
also had a bit of a scare at the weekend. I was clearing out a manky old cupboard and i suddenly got this angry purply red rash all over my face. My hubby said 'its probably just dust-rash' and i was outraged. i was adamant that theres no such thing as dust rash and I was sure I had slapped cheek syndrome. So i went to asda pharmacy in floods of tears cos there was no drs at the weekend, had a 45 minute wait to speak to her. she advised to call nhs direct, who as always advised to go to A&E. but by then the rash had calmed down a bit so i didnt. i had a sleepless night worrying about it then i went to the Drs on monday, and two doctors weren't sure what it was. the 3rd doctor diagnosed... a rash caused by dust and told me to moisturise. After all my stress and panic, i wanted something to prove to my husband that im not a paranoid fool so i got them to prescribe some aquaeous cream (AKA moisturiser) :T:j Baby bonce was born on Christmas morning after a ridiculously short labour and no pain relief! If only losing the baby weight was as easy!:T0 -
Oh jbbonce - firstly well done for graduating! And secondly thank you for making me howl with laughter. I know we shouldn't mock the afflicted but your post was really funny. Sounds like something that would go on between me and my OH!
Was pondering ringing MW today (even though she's coming tomorrow) because I've felt less movements over the last 2 days. I've had my '10 a day' but I'd been missing the long spells of shifting around and wriggling that I was used to (kicks are a rarity these days). Anyway, was preparing myself to try and not sound like a panicky paranoid first timer when baby launched into a good 10 minute sesh of doing star jumps and dancing like a child posessed.0 -

does anyone else feel that being pregnant is just like having PMS for months on end  I'm so grumpy and emotional today and it's not for any reason (although a little sunshine wouldn't go amiss  ) my poor OH is trying to get me to explain what I'm upset about when there really isn't anything I just feel pathetic and wibbly today :rolleyes:0

Ooh, my breast have grown up!
I woke this morning to find a mysterious dried patch on my nightie... I'm guessing my nipple has leaked, although when I asked, it looked innocent like it had no idea what I was talking about .
Now my question is this: is this a one off? Or should I invest in pads already? Need some experienced input (my mother, everytime I mention my symptoms, begs me to go see a doctor!)
I might add I have had no breast changes at all. They are exactly the same as before I got pregnant, except maybe, just maybe, the nipples are slightly bigger.:wall:0
