I think the problem is actually hormones, I was told a very wise thing today (as I sobbed that I was normal as I'm really hating and struggling with being pregnant) if someone tells you they enjoyed every minute of being pregnant they're lying. Some people enjoy most of it, some chuffing loathe it all (necessary evil I've heard it called!) and most people bimble around the middle.

Just keep doing what you need to do and seek reassurance from anyone who will reassure you, oh and in the breif preiods when you don't fantasise about chucking stuff at your DH try and explain how barking mad the hormones are. It can help them see how it is for you (and when they need to hide/duck!)

Bras: welcome to my world Keely, I'm a 40 back size normally and a G cup! If they don't stop getting bigger by the time I have finished being pregnant I'll have to walk on all fours! Although BA does beat me I will concede (I'm impressed, congrats that woman!) Anyway, M&S definitely do a 40 back size see here, so if you want to try them don't be put off :-)

Thanks for taking the time to write that reply :o makes me feel less alone, knowing im not the only one struggling a bit with the whole pregnancy thing.

My OH told me he doesnt want any more babies after this-if this is how upset im going to be. He doesnt like seeing me upset-so i guess its tough on him too (but i dont step back and see if from his point of view). Lucky i didnt want a big family eh :o

Ive spent the afternoon looking online, at various sites. Have found more then i expected in 40+ :o

Im off to cook tea, think ive already pi!!ed off OH enough for one day without making him go hungry lol :p

KEELYKAT- some ppl just dont enjoy pregnancy i went to a shop at the weekend and they were asking the norm questions "how long u got blah blah blah"when baby kicked and i went "owww" and one woman said she cudnt stand the feeling of her baby kicking it made her feel sick which is the same with me really yes its letting me know he's ok but it really does just make me queasy and 2 other ladies said they loved it so it was 2 that loved being pregnant and 2 that didnt exactly love it much but LOVED THE BABY INSIDE THEM.dont beat urself up if u dont enjoy every part of it.

as soon as the physio person saw me in the group she asked me to do some tiny exercises and said that she wanted to me see me at the end and at the end said she had a cancellation for today and to come back at 3,so i did and she immediatly put me on crutches, gave me a back and belly support thing and some exercises to do and told me i have to ring everyday next week to get a cancellation appt as the one they had is for may 20th and they want me in every week.the back thing is keeping my back straighter and the crutches are helping ive also got to learn to relax my top half as i dont do that enough.im so so glad i went now

forgot to add i have saiatica and spd and lower pelvis groin and back pain in general so i have a lovely mix of everything

Keely I hate being pregnant too. I feel as if it has totally taken over my life, which it has, if i'm not throwing up I'm falling asleep. I'm moody and miserable. And this is number 4 for me!

I'm only 10 weeks and I can't fit into any of my clothes, I already feel fat and frumpy. I barely go out of the house any more because I can't stay out of the bathroom for more than half an hour (morning sickness is awful). My house is getting more like a rubbish dump every day because I can't find the energy or motivation to clean it properly. And some days I wish my entire family would go away on holiday for a few weeks without me so I can sleep and be a miserable so and so in private :D

So, believe me when I tell you that you aren't alone. It will pass though, and somehow we tend to forget it all once the little bundle is here, well, we must do otherwise my son would certainly be an only child :rotfl:

Oh honeybe, you poor thing!! I had sciatica a few yrs ago (not preg related) and it was such bad pain. Could hardly move with it. Hope the crutches help.

Keely, i told one of my friends today i was pregnant and she went on about how horribe her pregnancy was from start to finish. She had awful sickness, back pain, feeling fat, dry itchy skin, heart burn. Her partner said she turned into a complete psycho!! She is now a mum to a 4 month boy and loving it and talking about trying for the next one by the end of the year!
Hopefully you'll have a good day soon.
Talking of bras - what's so special about maternity bras. I'm very small in the boobs department 32A, will I need them or will normal bras do for me?
Hope everyone else is well xx

Bras-well you dont really need maternity ones as such, just ones without wires ideally and with a high cotton content to let your skin breathe. A lot of ladies with larger boobs end up with matenity bras as i assume they are more comfy (usually wider straps, cotton, better support?).

I wasnt too pleased last night-i put my two bras next to each other and the one has actually shrunk in the wash  it said 40 degrees and i only used a 30 degrees wash on a delicate cycle. No wonder it was so unocmfy yesterday-i'll have to take them back, show them and try to get my money back. Need to get new ones still though as i only have those two right now!

Im feeling a bit better today, my husband was great when he got back from work yesterday-gave me a big hug straight away and told me i was daft (not in a nasty way) and he wasnt going anywhere...although he added im always daft even when not pregnant :o guess i cant be that bad-he married me after all lol.

We've got the 20 week scan on tuesday next week-which is making me nervous as ive felt some flutters but nothing major and not regular.

To be honest, for me, without the underwiring it can be a bit of a nightmare since I'm somewhat blessed in the lady bump department as they just, er, don't get held up as much :o

As for maternity bras vs normal bras, essentially underwiring can be a bit icky for you milk ducts as I understand it, but a very properly fitting underwired bra would probably be ok but you'd need to check with a midwife or lingerie lady. As Keely said though any bra without underwiring is good but maternity bras have more hooks on the back (so they last longer) and generally encompass more sizes for ridiculous amounts of growth!

I've got my scan a week on Tuesday and I've had chuff all movement as well! Try not to worry, I think some people feel stuff sooner than others but it could also be due to the placement of your placenta. My twelve week scan notes say anterior placenta so (assuming it hasn't moved) it could be blocking the movements from me, add to that my rather squidgy tummy.....

honeybe: I hope you get in to see the physio each week easily and it really helps, that sound icky.

    Hope everyone is well

Haven't got time to read back through pages of posts, but congrats to all BFP's and births, and labour vibes to Sheel's daughter xx

Bit of advice on the bra thing.... I must admit i'm too vain to bite the bullet and invest in some maternity bras... ive always worn underwired bras, and i cant stand the thought of giving into the big sling non-wired ones... however, i found a bit of a compromise. I bought some bra extenders off Ebay for a couple of quid for 3 different colour's, and they just clip on the back of your bra and extend it round you for another 3 eye holes, so i'll now get a bit more milage out of my normal 32C bras. However, my cup size is ever growing, and i wont be able to get away with wearing my pre-pregnancy bras for much longer, so instead, bought a couple of t-shirt bras from Primark at £3 each (!) a few inch sizes bigger, and a cup size bigger than i was pre-preg so 36D... they almost fit already and are really comfy, so each time i notice a significant growth, i'll go back and buy a bigger size til they are the size of a house! eeek!

As for the pregnancy, i'm going to my first aqua natal class tonight, and i'm a bit nervous, coz' i don't like doing things on my own! I'm also excited too, because it gets me out and about, and i've done zero physical activity for about 2 years now! Ive also been getting hefty kicks for weeks now, which helps pass the time to my anomoly scan a week on friday (when ill be 21+3) At around 17 weeks i started getting this tickly pokey feeling a few times a day next to my belly button which always makes me laugh out loud, but for a week now ive also been getting strong donkey kicks all day and night really low down in my pelvis. At first i was worried thinking it was something abnormal because they are so strong, and constant, they take my breath away... but at the weekend, i was lay in bed and noticed that while they were happening, parts of my belly were moving up and down. Everytime i'm in bed now, i watch my belly and i can constantly see baby body parts poking and rolling around, moving my skin up and down and over...its absolutely amazing. Plus my husbands been watching too, and hes in awe of it (got to stop him putting his hand on my belly in the night though to feel baby kicking... i know its an amazing thing for him to feel, but it really isnt great having someone press down on your bladder when its constantly full lol!

Sorry for waffling... its just great to tell people who are going through the same thing... nobody else in my life seems to be that bothered by my constant baby related witterings lol!!

On a money saving note... Mama's and Papa's have a 10% sale on this Saturday...get your free voucher downloaded on their website and you can use it online or in store! Also, iv'e been buying the odd few bargains (dont want to buy too much incase i jinx the whole thing!) and couldn't resist some Tommee Tippee bargains i saw in Argos this weekend - 6 Close to Nature bottles for £9.99, and a microwave steriliser for £9.99 too... im planning to mix breastfeeding and expressed breast milk bottle feeding, so this was an excellent bargain!

    dont worry Keely xx

There's a girl in my office who is 9 days ahead of me (she's about 22 weeks) and she hasn't felt a thing yet. All is well with her baby, she heard the heartbeat again this week, but she is worrying like you. Apparently most first time mums don't feel it til 22-24 weeks anyway, so don't get too stressed about it (easier said than done!!) if its any consilation, i've hardly got a bump at all, and everyone keeps telling me they only thought i was about 3 months pg, not 5 months..so i keep getting paranoid that there isnt enough room for something that is supposedly 6.5 inches to be in there!

All part of crazy pregnacy paranoia i'm afraid... you'll have your scan soon too though wont you?
