I found pregnancy symptoms very like time of the month. Sore boobs, but tired, mild cramps. Just presumed it was my period until it never arrived!!!
  • Thanks for the quick replies. :)

Don't suppose you know how reliable an early test is? Guess I should just wait and see what (if anything!) happens over the weekend but you know what its like once the idea is in your head! Arghhhh!!

First Response are pretty good I think - basically if you get a positive then it means positive (unless you're on fertility drugs or a couple of other exceptions) but you may get a false negative if you test early - the ones designed for early use though shouldn't be a problem.

I used the Blue line digital on the Monday and was not due until the Friday and it was positive. I couldn't wait as I was getting "symptoms" similar to what you described, sore boobs (really sore), felt different and more tired than I usually was.

    Fingers crossed for you

Wondering if you lovely lumpy ladies can give me some advice? Basically I'd like to know if any of you started getting pg symptons before you missed a period, like quite a while before?
    Lumpy ladies :rotfl:

I'd say it's possible to get symptoms quite a while before your period is due. I know with my first pg I had cramps and sore boobs for over a week before I could test!

    Good luck :)

i had some preg symptoms b4 i missed my period, i felt sick for a week before and just felt "different" also had a weird taste in my mouth. i did one of those clear blue tests (i think its clear blue or first response, not a cheapie one anyway!) that say they work a few days b4 your period is due and it showed straight up.

ice cream -- i have been eating hagaan daz by the tub full! go for it! LOL
  • OK well I've been and bought a test today but it says that only around 60% of pregnancys will result in a positive response at 4 days before period so I'll hang on for a couple more days when its goes up to 80% ish.

Thanks again for all the replies.

Over the last number of months, I've convinced myself every time that this was going to be *the* time as the PMT felt so much worse than before.
Last week, slightly different in that I was bloated like a balloon from Monday onwards, got indigestion really badly from around Thurs onwards, had a stonking headache on Thurs to rival a migraine...tested negative on Friday but positive on Sunday when I couldn't wait any longer!!!
Wasn't actually supposed to test until tomorrow, but the clearblue digital were pretty darn accurate in this case :j It makes up for all the previous months when I was devastated by the negative results
Am possibly going to see the doc tomorrow if I can wake up enough to phone them at 8 for an appointment...otherwise it may be next week when work is less busy. Hubby won't believe it's true until he knows someone "in authority" has verified my little stick saying "preggers" :rotfl:

ps: I should mention that all the symptoms above were not my normal PMT ones, felt miles better than normal!
