  • 3KIDSNOMONEY - Poor you!! I've been lucky enough not to have piles. I've been lucky & had thrush all the way through instead! (Sorry TMI!) It's a good job i can laugh about it even though it p***** me off!:rotfl:

Sugarcubed - Hopefully things will start for you before then! It's horrible playing the waiting game. By my scan dates i'm due on Christmas Day although they didnt change my dates as it wasnt more or less than the date i was given. I don't want our baby to be born on Christmas Day that's for sure!

On another note how much weight have you lot put on? Dare i ask? Or perhaps that should be dare i say that i've only put on 12lbs & i'm 37 + 4!:T How the hell i've only put that on i'll never know. Not that i'm complaining,i suffer enough aches & pain to know that anyone who's carrying 2-3 stone extra must be suffering alot more.

I've also not got a single stretch mark...Woo! I've just cheered myself up no end in fact!:j
Our 1st baby is due 29th December 2007! :rudolf:
I'm hopeful that this get's me out of cooking Christmas dinner!

Baby Ruby arrived after 55 hours of labour & an emergency c section on Christmas Day at 14.41 weighing 6lb 6oz...And yes I did get out of cooking Christmas dinner!!:rotfl:
  • No need to brag becky-sleaf!!! Just joking, i've given up trying to rub cream on my stretch marks and although people say i don't look very big i feel as though i have put on 4 stone, when in reality it is probably under a stone (28 weeks) although i haven't weighed myself and can't be bothered to get my fat bum of the sofa to go upstairs and do it now! Poor you with the thrush - at least prescriptions are free at the mo.

When we started trying for number 4, if i had conceived straight away then my baby would be due about now too. Not ideal is it, but they will come when they are ready and if it is Christmas day for some of you then what a great pressie.:rotfl:
    now mum of 4!!!
  • :rotfl: Sorry! I've used loads of different creams & oils (The Sanctuary Collagen boosting Body Butter is lovely!) It's weird how some people get them & others don't!

My Husband has just sent me a text - it reads:

Bored. Hurry up & have the baby so i can come home. Go & have a vindaloo in the bath or something! :rotfl:

If only it was that simple! I told him i'd be eating a vindaloo & washing it down with pineapple juice whilst lying in a clary sage bubble bath, whilst stimulating my nipples! :rotfl: Suddenly he's all for rushing home! (Sorry if TMI)

  • I have put on about a stone and a half but it is all on my bump and the rest of me is relatively similar size to what it was before. As for stretch marks that ship sailed a long time before i was pregnant cos i had a HUGE ovarian 15lb cyst removed in 2004 so i was already pretty stretched. I have one or two new ones but nothing major.

I am also cheered today. Not a bad nights sleep althoguh I did have to wake my OH and ask him to switch sides of the bed with me. I had this weird notion that if I slept on his side I woudl sleep better - and you know what I did!! Try it girls!! Also everywhere I go people keep saying how great I look and how well and that I am blooming. Great stuff. Thank god they can't see me at 2am when I am grumpy and tired!
  • Ooh Shelvis - that is huge! Carrying that around around would be like being pregnant. Poor you!

I've not got a very big bump all though Hubby now call's me big tum! I expected to be so much bigger! My sister put on 2 1/2 - 3 stone with both of her girls, all bump mind. From the back you couldnt tell she was expecting!
I kept getting real bump envy until mine put in appearance about 4 weeks ago!

  • Sugarcubed - Are you all ready for Christmas? Get yourself prepared now if you have any last bits & bobs to do. I've done my shopping, just got a few prezzies left to wrap. I've also done most of my food shop & got it in the freezer or put away. I'm trying to be as prepared as possible! Obviously i'll have to go & get the bit's that i can't leave in the fridge for the next 2 weeks but i won't have to get huge amounts. I'm hoping for a stress free Christmas with so much done!

I have everything apart from 2 pressys which ill get later this week. All prepared and hoping for a stress free Christmas! Just means if the baby is born so close to the 25th (which we really weren't expecting!) it will be Christmas for us only and will need to re-arrange plans we had with the rest of the family. Baby comes first!

    You sound very prepared!

I'm trying to be,We're having Christmas at home just the two of us (unless the baby decides to come before then!) It's the first time we've had Christmas on our own,Usually we'd have gone to have Christmas dinner with my lot but they moved to Spain in August so that's out the window.
We've been invited to other family & friends but with it being so close to due date we thought best to stay at home.

I think you are doing just as well if you only have a couple of presents to get! :T Doesnt it feel good knowing your almost done Christmas shopping!

Becky_sleaf:- I'm just the same as you. I'm only 28 weeks but have only had a couple of people apart from those who know me notice that I am pregnant. I've hardly put any weight on except minute bump. Am so jealous of other pregnant ladies.:p
    Baby Boy due 4/3/08

We've completed on flat purchase :D
