Kids playing football in the street/cars

Maybe we were just crap at football. We certainly never set out to damage anybody's property when we played out as kids, but nobody's perfect and accidents are unavoidable. A football hitting a car every now and then just doesn't seem like that big a deal to me.0

I hope my neighbours agree when my tennis balls inevitably and unavoidably go through their windscreens/windows.Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0 -

Presumably my front windows, flower beds and hanging baskets should all be fair game for them too?
£780 of the respray was from damage caused when some pr1ck in a Porsche decided to scrape my car with his chrome bumpers hole it was parked (CCTV showed the Porsche damaging it, but not the number plate ). When I took it in they pointed out the other scuffs, which could only have been caused by the footballs, and it cost me an extra £200 to get that sorted.
Sorry if I'd like the things I've worked hard for, kept on the property I've worked hard for, to not be trashed by the feral kids whose parents don't care where they are.
I think perhaps in the summer I'll park the cars round the corner on the green, and turn my driveway into a tennis court. I'm sure my neighbours won't mind me practising my serves at full pelt.
how likely is it that the kids will hit these things of yours with their ball?
If you really think its a probability, and the goal being on your neighbours front lawn is apparently the magnet for the boys playing football, then you should go speak to that neighbour, explain your concerns, and ask them to move the goal.
Realistically, what else can you do? I'm not being flippant here, I'm genuinely asking the question?0 -

Depends if you look after your car or not! A ball hitting my car every now and then is a big deal. Fair enough if you have an old banger but if your a car lover and take care of it a few football dents and scruffs are likely to bother you a lot.:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

It could easily happen, yes.
I will have a chat with the parents over the road next time I see them. I don't want their little boy to lose friends or not be able to play - that's the last thing I want. But I also don't want another big repair bill!!!Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0 -

Do people who care so much about their cars not put them in garages or put those daft covers over them?0 -

In some newish-builds, family cars don't fit in garages!
Only thing you can fit in some garages round here is a chuffin smart carAutism Mum Survival Kit: Duct tape, Polyfilla, WD40, Batteries (lots of),various chargers, vats of coffee, bacon & wine.0 -
