Be careful with this company, there are a few others also to watch out for, as they do take people to court and it would appear (as a friend at work found out after they issued a claim against her) that they win... My friend didnt go to court in the end she settled but it cost her like £120 and a whole lot of effort, better than what she could have been faced with. Think their claim was something around £200 with Solicitors costs Best appeal is my advise if they have issued incorrectly...

Oh a really balanced view! Actually for a first post looks more like a PPC troll's view!

So your whole point is that you have a friend who paid a fake PCN and it cost her 'like £120' (cue the failed attempt to sound all streetwise and not like some PPC plank). More fool her then. Not a case lost in Court, not a bad defence by her, not a brilliant case by the scammers, not even a default win by them. Your friend paid. So??

And you reckon that a PPC can claim a large amount in Solicitors' fees for 'acting' in a small claim case? NOPE, think again! I have actually seen a Napier small claim win as well, posted a while back on CAG I think - and they claimed...£80 = the amount of the fake PCN, LOL!!! Nearly as stupid as the weak defence! :rotfl:

And your 'message' from 'PPC World' is a waste of typing anyway because if you look at the replies we already said that Napier are known to try Court. We already know that happens occasionally - but still wouldn't say anyone should just send them their hard-earned - certainly not with POPLA to help out and cancel it at £27 a pop!

And in case you don't know and haven't had a proper job yet, working for a PPC isn't one. Why should they take money from those who actually do something useful in Society?

They are also known to FLOUT the BPA Code of Practice in terms of 'no grace period' for a start, plus other breaches I won't go into here but have seen very recently when I helped that other poster only last week with a POPLA appeal. Believe me, I looked closely at their t&cs and an example 'ticket' and it was amusing to 'spot the difference' against the BPA Code of Practice that Napier are signed up to...

Non at all. The whole private parking malarky seems dodgy to me and i havent fallen victim to it. The letter mentioned the above so i went and had a read and posted link to same for others to read....purely educational.
Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..
  • Coupon-mad, sorry you dont agree with my post, to clarify I have never worked for a parking company.

Your post bemused me somewhat as I was sure the claim against my friend was in the order of £200 and yes with solicitors costs. She didnt go to court your right! But to deal with the claim, was time consuming and she was a nightmare with worry. She settled as a offer was made and a family friend with legal knowledge advised that it was reasonable! OK maybe you disagree...

To prove my point I did some rummaging and this is pretty much slam dunk! It proves they do claim additional costs. OK this guy got £90 back due to an adjurned hearing!

My point is mearly that I was not talking s**t!

    DISTRICT JUDGE PERUSKO:

So the order that I’m going to make is, upon
hearing for the claimant, claimant’s witness and the defendant in person, it is
ordered that there be judgment for the claimant in the sum of £80, plus costs
    of £60
    , plus £50, £110, making a total of £190. That’s payable in 14 days.

And was that for a parking case, or a non-parking related case?

Cut off the X after the pdf.

Yes OP, watch your step with this one. Napier Parking is run by the notorious de Savary family.

But I suspect they can get this cancelled at POPLA with the right help. Just an initial letter suggested first, asking for evidence 'before I appeal', that's all.
