Numerous margarine lids have gone at last.
Whose idea was it that giving everyone a red blotch, all the same size, gives any indication of their posting frequency? Especially when the actual number of posts is just above it?
And still no way of opting out of 'badges'. When they were first introduced, I said I wouldn't want one and was told that all I had to do was ask and they would be removed. Well, now I've got one, who do I ask?0 -
I would like to apply for the rampant recycler badge.
I've not done any specific recycling but I was swapping so much on Freegle that I was invited to become a moderator on my local site :T
My latest 'offer' was for 60 plastic A4 sided wallets left over from my days working in a factory (10 years ago) they were found when I was looking for a scale ruler that someone had posted a wanted for, all items now away to new homes0 -
.. but have been replaced by a nasty red blotch.

And now a blue one joins it.
If they won't get rid of this nonsense, they should add some meaningless ones, maybe a random number generator,
... then people can play bingo with the numbers at the side instead of actually reading the posts. Wouldn't that be fun.0 -
Big up to the Badger for my new recycling badge :T :T0

How do we become a rampant recycler? Littl'un was dressed in charity shop, eBay and freegled clothes when he was younger; now we can afford to buy new, but we always give his outgrown clothes to charity shops:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

Cheers Fermi. I was just looking through the list of recycling/upcycling that people do and couldn't help but think ...
Old plastic milk bottles - child's playtoy
Clean kitchen foil - child's playtoy
Cardboard and cardboard boxes - child's playtoy
Twiglet tubs - fill with old bottle tops - child's playtoy (rattle)
Old mains cable - child's playtoy
etc.
Our autistic son will play with ANYTHING!!!! And yet still we buy proper toys for him ... from the charity shops, of course.:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

I have had £540 cash back from topcashback in 2 years and thats only for purchases that are not on the British Airways Gate 365 page.
I mainly shop through gate 365 to gain BA Avios points for my purchases but if I feel its not worth it, I go through TCB.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Competitions Time, Shopping & Freebies boards, Employment, Jobseeking & Training boards If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. I have been recycling for years and have been teaching my 8 year old to recycle since he was 2.
He is great, he brings home his foil from his sandwiches and I wash and reuse the next day. He takes a little plastic bag for his fruit, again brought home I wash and reuse.
His little yoghurt pots we wash and give to his Beaver colony for crafting. We save toilet roll holders, cereal boxes, butter tubs, yoghurt tubs and donate them all to the Beavers for crafting. They even take old cds!
Seen some lovely helicopter cds come from recycling these.
I donate DS' old clothes to the charity shop, sell the ones that can make me a bit of money, same with his old toys.
I am buying one of these to save the environment and decrease my washing costs

I recycle old my old mobile phones, have done for years.
I sell used postage stamps to a gentleman who buys them and donates a percentage of his earnings to various charities.
I reuse envelopes I receive in the post, ie the padded ones. Fab for ebay sales. :rotfl:
I mend old clothes and socks, if they are still in good condition, just need a little stitch here and there.
I recycle batteries.
In fact my poor family just leave everything on the side in the kitchen and say what can be recycled, what can be given to charity, what can be thrown!0
