Well I have just returned from tescoing - after being abit busy doing other things it was nice to have a tesco trip today.

(My weekly shopping was delivered last night £75 spend and gained 1075 points using a code - from tesco.com).

this meant I was just able to concentrate on the couponing today.

I used 8 of the john frieda vouchers on hair serum 98p but had £1.50 off each time so DD1 was very happy with them.

I also bought 32 slimfasts today as well as a mixture of toiletries.

On the first shop my last few vouchers were not accepted due to balance being too low so I whipped out my lottery fast pay and that bumped up the total by £3 meaning my the vouchers could then be used. 2nd transaction was reduced to less than £2.50.

Third transaction was going down and I asked him for a £10 giftcard to bulk it back up but he could not find any so I raced to one aisle picked up 5 instant cameras and that meant he could finally scan all my vouchers and I had some free cameras.

fourth transaction - I did spend more than anticipated but a £59 bill reduced to £17 is pretty good anyway.

The highlight of the day was meeting Vellum again :wave: nice to see you - shame the kiddies weren't on best behaviour - I think it was tesco boredom.

No sign of any toiletry vouchers anywhere, the pharmacy SA told me that due to people taking them from her counter they now get the toiletry girls to hand them out periodically.

Do they do them in all stores or just the really big ones? I've only got a Metro and an Express near me, all the larger branches are out of the city so it's not really worth spending money on public transport when I'm looking to save money! hello welshy, kiddies are just as cute and smart as mummy. :T

only did small shops today as i tried to get till spit, but nothing so far.

totally forgot about the hayfever tablets until i saw u at the end, so ran back to get some, only let OH paid for the few food items as he is not confident to coupon. again, the bird eye simply chicken 60 pts did not scan. OH likes the stuff so we buy it regularly anyway. since there is hardly any coupon on the receipt, OH went to CS to have the pointer added on manually, according to CS, the pointer has fault and never scan, all have to go thro CS manually.

of course, on my way to get the hayfever tablets, i also grabbed a couple of john frieda serum and kids toothpaste.

in a rush, i forgot to hand over a set of coupons, but used moc to pay up anyway, the £2.7 express moc did not scan, glad i only have 2 of them. oh well, next time. :rolleyes:

have a big fight with the cat just before leaving house :eek: , i m still a bit confused, hence so forgetful and clumpsy in the shop, started to sneeze again when driving, luckily OH hold the wheel for me.

found 1 peachy HB on the floor and 1 SB in a trolley on my way out in carpark :T :T , think they must have giving them away yesterday and i missed it as usual. glad both have all coupons attached, looked a bit tatty and hope they will still scan.

question: can i ask for gift card when SA already starts scan in coupons? or must i ask before the coupons?

They can be added at any time of your shop, but they are not always on the till, they're not in my shop. If you ask, someone will go and get one for you if they are not on the till.

What's everyone buying with the healthcare?
Cupboards are full of vitamins. Hate slimfast.
Any suggestions?

Has anyone had any problems with the £1 off £4 on toiletries scanning. The last 2 times I tried, it accepted everything except the 2 x £1 off £4. This was in 2 different Tesco's on a £10 shop.

for healthcare, i bought optrex eyewash, lemsip, hayfever tablets, and lavender oil is on my wish list.

the hayfever tablets currently on bogof are different from the brands on money off coupons from pharmacist counter, so cannot be combined i supposed?

£1 toiletry scanned fine today with handwash and toothpaste.

Used 2 today but only bought Sanex. Don't know if that makes a difference?
