Well I have had no luck whatsoever with the DM £4 coupons so I binned them all in the end last night. I tried one last time in Asda yesterday at the self scan and despite the young male SA repeatedly telling the female SA to input it manually, she just ignored him and proceeded to hold the coupon right up to her nose examining every word of it, at the same time saying she didn't have her glasses with her!!!

When she found the bit saying it has to be used on buying that particular book she was so full of glee and proceeded to give it to me back saying flatly 'you've got to buy the book'.!

I decided not to make an issue of it and so ended up having to pay for most of my shop myself. However, her unhelpful attitude made me even more determined to go through again using different coupons ( I always carry back up). So I went straight to CS and got a refund on my shopping and put the same shopping through again and used different coupons and they all went through no probs! The female SA never even noticed me! Well she wouldn't, would she, because she could hardly see !!:rotfl: :rotfl:

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo    you put perfectly good vouchers in the bin, someone on here would have snapped your arm off for them I expect.

It gives me palpitations when I see vouchers going to waste. :rotfl:

I never bin anything now because everything is useful to someone. I am sure that someone would have had your DM vouchers and swaped them for others - that is how I do it anyway when I do straightforward swaps.
Or you have added them to your swap list on PTS or the coupon swap thing if you have a swaps list.
Mind you I have one coupon that is sticking. Everytime I go through the till I produce it and it just will not scan but I am not giving up on it - its an out of date Harpers coupon. I live in hope of finding someout out there who is equally stubborn who will take this coupon off me, get it to work and do me a

    coupon swap !

yeh PixiePie, I see theyve already got you off on the wrong foot.

Theyre actually coupons...now i realise Martins thread is named "vouchers" but unfortunately he's wrong as well.

Tesco only give out coupons, and nowhere on their "coupons", does it say "vouchers"

Hi everyone, I'm back...........I disappear for a while and standards dont half slip.........next we'll be back to "till spills".................

As he rushes of to read the back of all valid COUPONS....phew...........

Now if we were talking about "Deals Vouchers" .....thats a different thing!!
    Couponing....."every little hurts"

Half of the people can be part right all of the time, Some of the people can be all right part of the time.
But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

Yeah I realise that now guys, sorry. I had five of them but between me and my OH they weren't scanning anywhere so I just assumed (obviously wrongly) that they wouldn't work for anyone else either. :o

Argh, lol - even moe confuzzled now:

when I say voucher I mean 'bit of paper with '20p off' , '10% discount', '£3' (etc etc) 'when you buy Heinz Beans', 'from Muller' (etc etc) . Not really sure what else there is - or am I hopelessly lost?A hard evidence EG - in the back of the Sainsbury;s mag there are about 6-10 'vouchers' with '10p off when you buy Sainsbury's beans' due to there being some recipes in the mag on this product usually. Thats the sort of thing I have in my head. Are there more varieties? :S

Also - are all of these only for Tesco? Someone pointed me in the direction of Martin's supermarket article, and it touches on (what I call) vouchers from all supermarkets, admiting Tescos are the best for accepting them, but does anyone shop and voucher/coupon elsewhere? - Everyone on the forum (yes I know, I'm in a tesco thread lol) only seems to talk about Tescos (almost to unhealthy obsessive levels if you ask me :rotfl:), which I sort of have a problem shopping at as a) they are a rip off (they are well over £7 more than Sainsburys for what we would want to buy in one week) b) they never have anything in stock (my local is a huge 24 hour one as well) c) the staff treat you like a shop lifter for daring to be in the store outside of really busy times and d) I just think they are unethical.

And till spills? My head hurts now sob

Thats why we all get such pleasure in getting LOTS of FREE toiletries when all they keep giving us all these lovely "coupons" (by the way leadhead basically means everything is a coupon, Im sure he'll explain it much better later for you but general thing is every money off coupon is a coupon IYSWIM)
If you read the first page of this post it gives a rum down on how to use these coupons to get free toiletries, the other coupons, ie 30p off kellogs etc, can also be used in Tesco even if you haven't bought the item, generally.
