I found a pile of Sb and Hb tonight so am in a good mood :D

Mind you, I was a bit peeved earlier as called into an out of area Tesco for a change and after scanning everything on thebelt, the young lad told me he couldn't accept any vouchers if I hadn't bought the product!

    I don't think so!

Thing is, I used him last week (hes forgotten) and he took loads of vouchers and I got 2/3rds knocked off my shop.

I wasn't having that so toddled off to Cs , leaving everything unpaid for on the belt as although I wouldn't normally make myself known, I wasn't prepared to pay full price for everything, I mean come on, thats totally unrealistic! :rotfl:

The two girls at Cs were useless and couldn't decide what their policy was as each had different ideas. One told me the policy had recently changed last week to no coupons (yeah right!) and when I told her I had used coupons yesterday, she changed it to, oh sorry, I meant the policy changed today, mmmmmm, of course it did...

They ended up ringing a supervisor who said I could have one coupon on the entire shop, so generous of them

I had already split it into 2 shops so fished 2 £4 DM vouchers out and used them against it.

I wish I had known their so called 1 coupon per shop policy earlier, I would have gone in a dozen times and spent exactly £4 each time and used the £4 Dm coupon :rotfl:

    hiya

my OH said that to get the book for £5 in Asda you have to spend £10 on goods. so i suppose you'd be spending an extra £5 but you'd be getting £10 of groceries.

Well I have had no luck whatsoever with the DM £4 coupons so I binned them all in the end last night. I tried one last time in Asda yesterday at the self scan and despite the young male SA repeatedly telling the female SA to input it manually, she just ignored him and proceeded to hold the coupon right up to her nose examining every word of it, at the same time saying she didn't have her glasses with her!!!

When she found the bit saying it has to be used on buying that particular book she was so full of glee and proceeded to give it to me back saying flatly 'you've got to buy the book'.!

I decided not to make an issue of it and so ended up having to pay for most of my shop myself. However, her unhelpful attitude made me even more determined to go through again using different coupons ( I always carry back up). So I went straight to CS and got a refund on my shopping and put the same shopping through again and used different coupons and they all went through no probs! The female SA never even noticed me! Well she wouldn't, would she, because she could hardly see !!:rotfl: :rotfl:

Have finally found some SB leaflets at my local (Roneo Corner, Romford on the shelf with the make up brushes, nail care etc) - wasnt loads though so left some for other MSErs - check inside though as a few of mine already had the vouchers taken out:mad: ) but have trawled through quite a few pages and cant see anything that might suggest the best thing to use them for.

I also have a couple of Quit coupons.

Can anyone recommend what to but to get the best use of my vouchers. Cant see any glitches on the first page that work at the moment.

I qued up in asda for harry potter and it was £5 regardless of wat you bought. Ie you could just buy just the book for £5. Tesco were doing it £5 if you spent £50 in store which I thought was absolute rubbish, morrisons are doing it for £4.99 but I wanted it at midnight so I went to asda, also asda were dishing out celebrations to everyone in q too. :D

I've been having fun on the clear a £1,000 in 2 months challenge so I feel like I have neglected you all.

I haven't seen any new toiletry vouchers around, I did a family shop yesterday and made a beeline firstly for the reduced items and timed it exceptionally well as my freezer is now full of meat and whole chickens at £1.25 each.

I had a fab shop yesterday, I try to only tesco 4 times a week now and my sis gave me some £7 off weekly vouchers, plus some £4 off till spits so I went to the SA who enjoyed telling me about his voucher savings (which made a change). At the end he announced to all and sundry I had saved £50 off my shopping bill and seemed geniuely delighted for me that he helped me achieve it. He also took a few of the £4 DM vouchers too. My one store will take individual, unique vouchers with no limit so that was brill.

I am finding the impulse vouchers do not scan through sometimes but have stocked up on washing powder, fabric conditoner, washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets.

At my local they were giving away dishwasher powder vouchers but sadly they only scan if you buy the item. Hopefully soon I will get some toiltery vouchers.

I ordered harry potter from play.com via quidco and tesco.com for the points. Only one turned up today and having two harry potter fans (they've also read the books in Welsh) I ended up going to Morrisons after swimming lessons. The tesco book when it arrives will now be returned.

Morrisons are selling Harry Potter for £4.99
