I wish your store was my local store, LOL Every checkout person has their own policy at my local store. One will take 50% in vouchers, another says 'no vouchers' unless you've bought the products and last week, a lady on the till didn't want to take any vouchers, including the tesco toilitery vouchers because I hadn't bought the products pictured on the voucher(?) the supervisor said I could use 2 toiltery vouchers, then the manager was called and she let me use 3 toiltery vouchers, but no mag moc's. She said "the larger stores might let you use them, but I can't let you use them here" I actually got rid of all my mag moc's at a larger store a couple of days later, which was a relief, LOL only problem is that store is miles away!

This has happened to me before, in a nearby Tesco which has a very strict coupon policy. A supervisor was called and everything was OK, the cashier did accept my very few coupons in the end.

  • hello back at ya :-) I must say i never realised there was such a community working together to get the most off their shop but i dont blaim you all! I stumbled across this site whilst looking for vouchers and freebies to be sent through post, my dad still worries when i get pampers samples through the door. LOL. I know what you mean about different staff having different policies its the same at my store but if the customer persists and asks for a team leader the cashier will be corrected about the policy our store have. I have just been promoted to team leader so il be sure my team accept the vouchers! I know this is a bit off topic but I was just wondering what most of you do with your clubcard vouchers, do you spend them in store or do you change them for the other offers like resturant vouchers, and is it worth doing that?

    tescoladyyy - welcome to MSE.

i m always wondering what happen to the pile of coupons inside the till after the SA signs off work. let say SA1 at till work a couple of hours and accumulates 50 coupons. then SA1 signs off and the till will be taken over by SA2, i presume SA1 will take all the coupons and cash in till to the cash office to check the balance? or will SA2 inherit coupons from SA1?

and what do the cash office do with the 50 coupons? will they raise concern if the balance does not match? such as a coupon has been scanned twice by mistake.
  • welll.. ur till number stores all the vouchers you have put through so you dont do a till lift after you have finished working on that till and are swapping over, but if u have put a voucher through twice or taken a voucher that we dont accept then you are usually called up on it on your next shift and reminded of the rules. As for the vouchers themselves i think that cash office send them off to the different companies in order to claim the money back.

hope thats answered ur questions :-)
