i had a nightmare today started off well, i asked if i could use vouchers cashier said yes, then when he started scanning he said, i'll have to double check, over comes team leader, says no to all my vouchers except one 2.50 off h n b. my shop was 90 pounds, she would not let me use anything else will be taking stuff back, i had a second lot on the belt i tried splitting it up - she then said you can use 1 2.50 off that and that is it, i said well i have mocs for my nappies and my robinsons she snarled then accused me of using photcopies and ran off with my vouchers, i left my trolley and followed her unbelievable she was saying but this voucher is paper, it is definatley a copy, i got them last week from britvic, i will be phoning them tommorrow! She came back with 2 other people and security at which point she scanned one voucher, I then said you've kept me here 1/2 hour accusing me of things i don't want any of it, so snatched back my voucher and left all my shopping there, went to asda. Tommorrow is a different day and different cashier - it will not put me off just make me more determined! Sorry for the rant lol
coupon over here, coupon over there, every crack filled with coupons even down there
    (meaning under the buggy lol):D

That's a terrible way to treat someone, if I were you I would write to the store manager complaining about the team leader as they have no right to speak to you that way. I know some have got a bit too big for their boots so maybe she just needs reminding of coupon policy.
If you write instead of doing it face to face it might be better as they won't remember your face so well!

Hope you are ok sarahskint. I have found they are like this in my store during the week. They will only let you use 10% off your shopping regardless of if you have bought the products or not, never mind trying to combine h&b. It is different at the weekend though - the younger ones will scan anything you give them :D (Apart from the clothing vouchers that scan on anything which seem to have expired today:( )

i am fine. I was also giving the lecture on only taking one quit quit and one h n b leaflet in the future - she obviously didn't see the box of quits under the babes car seat :rotfl:

Could be the sa hasn't activated something on the till. I had the same problem last week but I know it was because the young guy didn't know what he was doing.

Yep, I think that was the problem. I managed to successfully shift £10 worth of coupons on my Friday shop.

Best thing you can do is to get back out there and do a great shop, using loads of vouchers :)

I had a bad experience last week and it put me off for a while as I thought they would be following me around the store the next time I went in, but then I went back and faced the people who had caused me trouble, and they didn't even recognise me!

I think a lot of the paranoia is in our heads a lot of the time :)

Go back out there Sarah and do a GREAT shop!

    I've been Money Tipped!
2 supervisors have just muttered something to each other about me as I walked past, they both had a good look at me. Made me feel like a right shoplifter!

Still managed to get my nice new cashier who kindly accepted £10 of vouchers from me including the £4 Daily mail one:rotfl:
