Hi ST, some do reply to say they accept. For me it was NR & Cahoot. The others just accepted via DMC. What I'm trying to say is some might contact you directly, others will tell Payplan. I wouldn't write to request confirmation, but again I'm very nervous still about dealing with my debits, so happy to have a go between.

  • Thanks for that MM2 - I think I will just lay low for a bit and see what is what with Payplan in a few weeks time. I don't seem to be getting any phonecalls apart from barclay loan which stipulate that I call before 5pm which no can do as stuck in office all day and even lunchtime I am surrounded by people so they will have to wait or call me during an evening. I really really hope they all agree. It's a nervous time but I am sure I am doing the right thing.
  • Well I got through it!!!! :T

They guy from Egg met me in the waiting room and went through my file he was really nice and made me feel really calm. He said that as our debt that we owe everyone is quite high then EGG feel they need to secure the debt on our house, which is'nt great, but he said they would never make us sell it would only be taken if we decided to sell. He said that they are starting to do this with some clients as so many people are unable pay debts back. We then went into see the judge and he told me not to worry this was a very informal hearing and that they would set the debt against my property, but it would mean that they will leave me alone now (well intill we sell!!!) so not as bad as I thought it would be and glad it is over. God how do we get ourselfs into this mess!!!!!

Big hug Scared, glad to hear that all went well. Hopefully this mean you'll not get hassle from them. Well done!

  • Well done Scared! Do you still have to pay Egg a monthly payment or is it set against the charging order?

I have spoken to MBNA this morning and have hopefully set up my own DMP plan with them. They said they would write to me in 5 to 10 days and confirm or not confirm the proposed DMP I set up. Fingers crossed!

Also rung CCCS to discuss my account with them. I discussed with them about IVA's and they told me now that they are doing them through CCCS. Am I right in saying that you need a surplus of £250 to qualify for an IVA? Really tempted to go down this route for the long term if I fit the criteria.

    Hi Mrs Danes!

    Hope your hubby is OK

I have to apologise I normally like to "help out" in this topic but have not been around, to be honest sounds stupid but I find the attitudes on the main part of this forum appalling and childish sometimes. But today I thought sod it they want to look like children with there little in clubs leave em to it!

Its not fair to turn my back on the wonderful support I have had here and pass a bit more on! So apologies that I have not been around.

Glad to see my favourite monkey is, though I suspect Queen albums will never be the same again for him lol!
