I think a charging order is only really a bad thing if you want to move soon, chances are though you can't afford to so it is just a paperwork exercise and you will pay them off before its a problem. Not many on here have had them but its one of things that seems the worst but when it happens its a bit C'est la vie!
  • Hi all

Hope you're all doing ok with your dmp's - haven't had time to look through all the recent posts yet but will hopefully get down to it at work tomorrow (on my break of course! lol)

Anyhow, I just wondered if anyone else was having problems with Northern Rock just now?

    I've posted here:

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=6795283&posted=1#post6795283

as they appear to be playing hard ball with me, when all I'm trying to do is pay off what I owe.

The length of my dmp is about 30 yrs as it is (but clearly will try and get this time reduced by paying as much as poss whenever poss) and I really can't handle this kind of stress for that length of time (or any length of time come to think of it).

    Any advice / input?

    Thanks

  • Morning all,

Hope everyone is well. Not able to look at any other post on here, assume apart from those on this page but assume that is because of the recent blip.

Just a quick question - do all creditors ignore your correspondence??? I have sent numerous letters and the only ones that seemed to have responded are HSBC, EGG and Amex. I am getting a lot of arrears letters etc but assume these are the computer generated and I am following these up with written correspondence again. Starting to get phone calls but am out of the house 6:15am to 7pm and don't want to take calls at work or whilst train so they will have to wait.

I make my first payment to payplan on 16th of this month so I am hoping that once payments have been forwarded to creditors they will start responding.

Hope everyone has a good day x

    Hello Sortingit :T

Yes the ceditors do seem to ignore you but are the first to moan if you don't reply to them in time  I have been in my DMP with CCCS now for 6 months and have been having a small battle with MBNA. Who will not put anything in writing so i am playing them at there own game :T

Though saying that my partner had a response from CL Finance so there is hope yet !!

  • Hi

Just trying this to see if there is a problem with our thread.

    How are you all

    ym
  • That worked out. Cheers

When I open this thread though, I now I have to scan through to page 71 before I can see latest posts. Before it used to loan the latest post page up for me. Sorry I am a bit think
  • Brill - its back to normal
  • Yippee it's back! I was wondering if it was ever going to get back to normal.

Hope everyone is well. Not a lot happening with me, made my first payment to payplan today so hopefully creditors will get their payments and then with any luck i'll start getting somewhere.

Must say it is getting me down a little at the minute but I am sure it will pass once I have an idea of whether or not they will accept the offers. I am just getting a little fed up with all the phone calls and piles of computer generated letters piled on the door mat when I get home. Hopefully it will be sorted soon enough.

Anyway enough of my self pity. Off to get a beer from kitchen. xx
  • hi yall, not been hiding have been sick this week. Still nothing new with me. Was waiting with baited breath for my letter from MBNA, it arrived only to tell me that my complaint is taking longer....blah blah blah and I would get a reply by 10th Dec. The laughable part was the last paragraph said if I wanted to talk to a Customer Services Advisor and the number!! Considering my complaint was about Customer Services Advisors being soooooo rude and ignorant it did make me chuckle a little Am watching Children in Need and it puts things in perspective a little, doncha think?

Hope all okay with everyone. Well done SortingIt for paying your first payment today....... I hope the beer was cold!
