    Who's OC??!!

    Has one escaped my notice?!!
  • Does make you wonder how much profit they make on our work normally! :p

There is currently a Pizza job in Jersey with a payment of £40 - £15 reimbursement and £25 premium payment. Wish I was on holiday there, I'd do it!!!

I know! This is why I've stopped working for GAP - such awful fees and they clearly get loads more than the crumbs they throw at MSers!

Well, apart from a few niggles I'm basically happy with Gap. I find the payments OK for what the jobs entail - my costs are always covered and I make a profit as well and they don't take that long to do.

There are always plenty of jobs in my area too. When I started, my aim was to make £100 a month and so far this month I've already done £167 - not bad considering I've had to select jobs that I can take the kids to as well so when they go back to school I should be able to do even more.

I'm not looking to make a furtune from MS-ing and being able to pick & choose the jobs to fit in with my schedule suits me down to the ground.

I'm also an expert on Music phones now, I've done 6 or 7 of the same assignment in different branches of a well known independent mobile phone shop!!!!

Are we talking about the same GAP??? most jobs on gap goes within 5 minutes of being put on andalso, dont count "Reimbursements" as profits (Not sure if you have or not)

Sorry for being funny but I cant see how u make £167 in 10 days....

I did just that the other week. It rained, but we had loads of fun and didn't care, because, in effect we were being paid to be there!

Yeah I was in that situation too but realised that although I was earning £200 per month (not all from GAP) I was eating far too many chicken, burgers and pizza than was healthy, I was spending almost every evening doing reports and worrying over whether I might get a receipt and what would happen if they didn't give me one! When I worked out my actual profit after petrol & printing etc then calculated my hourly rate I thought enough's enough.

It's also really painful that doing a job for any other company (especially RE) makes me feel so much more happy with the work I'm doing as they seem to appreciate it more with better fees and an ACTUAL TELEPHONE SYSTEM!!

I messed up a part of a burger job with GAP a week or so ago and got an email saying they were's going to pay me - no way of me explaining what happened (to do with a receipt) other than use their pathetic enquiry system. I do something wrong I don't get paid, they do something wrong I have to sort it out and in my own time too, without getting paid any extra for it.

I appreciate this may sound like a "I'm better than doing this crummy work" but it's not meant to be - it's kind of a one man boycott! Won't get anywhere I know but if it means there's one less person in my area getting their work done then I'm happy with that.

But for a little bit over a fiver i would rather not get bullied by the pushy sales reps that need sales and dont want to let you go...
