aint it dodgy that they want your cc details before you get a job that cant be right can it????????/

If you mean bank details rather than credit card details - check your cheques. All the details required are on every cheque you hand out - account name, sort code, account number.

If you hand a cheque out potential scammers have something much more valuable - your signature.
  • I have recently started mystery shopping, thanks to this message board. It's great how the members are so quick to help each other.

I just have a quickie question. Does Grass Roots let you know if there is a problem with one of your reports? Or do you have to chase them if you haven't been paid for one of the assignments?

They usually call you if something's gone wrong. If you don't hear anything everything should be fine and you should get paid 2 to 4 weeks after the assignment.

Remember to spend as little as possible. And that some sharks will recognise your vulnerability and prey on you for advertising spend, which always seems like a good idea early on, when you don't often know what you are spending on! Better keep any spend back a)until you can really afford it b)once you've fully researched where your spend will give you the best possible returns.
    Good luck!

I've been MSing for over 3 years, and don't understand this post - have I got the wrong end of the stick?

I would say the opposite - if you are given a spend limit, make sure you spend up to the limit. (I always think about whether I can take anything home with me!)

I have a sneaking suspicion this post may be on the wrong thread (but perhaps I have misunderstood?)

Has anyone done the GAP scenario where you need to order two refillable drinks as a single person? Did you just order the two drinks for one person or have a change of heart half way through the meal and order a different drink even if that looked a bit strange?

I have just done a chicken assignment, which was a last minute please, please do it and we'll give you a bit extra.
Well I have just done a 50 mile round trip and have no receipt.
Does anyone else have any experience of not getting a receipt? Will I still get paid?
The assistant didn't give me a receipt and when I asked she said it wouldn't print?

Just my luck though, all that way and no receipt.

Any help or calming advice would be appreciated............... I'm currently climbing the walls.

    Thanks

    Jules
