Quick question... When calculating your mileage for a job do you count mileage to the job or mileage to and from the job?
    Hope that makes sense.
    Thanks in advance. Laura :)

You are calculating mileage for an allowance for the IR, presumably. The idea of this is to reimburse you for use of your car, and the car makes the return journey so that's what you claim! (Your base, for self employed MS, is your house). :D

Yes, loads of us do. They are reasonably good payers, but most of their jobs are fairly boring (i.e. not much in the way of free food and purchases).

Ok that's good as I have just signed up for 3 jobs locally (all boring!!) but should net £60 before I go on hols. I must keep checking now to see if they have been allocated as they are still pending - how long does it usually take from pending?
    Thanks

Ah. The pending process with BAI is VERY variable. In fact the jobs you have applied for could already have been allocated, as they are rubbish at taking jobs off the list. If they've been posted recently, however, you stand as much chance as anyone else. However, I wouldn't count your £60 as spending money, as in my experience you are extremely unlikely to get all 3 jobs - unless they are a circuit of 3 car shopping jobs, where you stand a reasonable chance IMHO.

Sorry, this probably isn't what you wanted to hear, but that's the way it seems to go. Having said all this, keep pegging away as their jobs are worth doing when they come up in convenient locations :)

    Thank you!

Just as an update to all on my GAP grumbles this has now been sorted out thanks to Matt - no specific reason given but I'm getting the pay. I'd advise everyone to check what they are expecting against what they get paid for GAP each month. He said that although it is too time consuming to provide statements for everyone on payments they are happy to do this as individual request.

These are alternative contacts from the web query form although I think the free phone is probably Australian(?) only.

I did one for a financial place, but as with a previous poster, we both had problems when being told to give a false name, although she had a worse experienc than me and the police were notified.

The jobs they offer aren't as straightforward as Gap or GFK, RE Etc., but then the money is a bit better, so it's 6 of one and half a dozen of the other probably!

aint it dodgy that they want your cc details before you get a job that cant be right can it????????/
Replies to posts are always welcome, if they are done in the correct manner. If I have made a mistake in the post, I am human, tell me nicely and it will be corrected. If your reply cannot be nice, has an underlying issue, or you believe that you are God, please post in another forum. Thank you

Not sure which company you are referring to? BARE / BAI are fine in my experience. Do you mean bank details? I've given those out as in sort code and account number that doesn't hurt but yes I'd be wary of people wanting Credit card details - who do you mean?
