I have just got another MS which involves a test purchase and the breakdown is £xx fee and £yy reimbursement, can anyone tell me if GAP just reimburse the amount you spend or just pay you £xx + £yy regardless of how much you spend instore?
I know anything over my purchase will need to be declared but I just wanted to know whether to buy something tiny or spend the full amount
Hope that makes sense  thanks guys and galsSealed pot Member target £200 - No. 151

GAP pay you £xx + £yy regardless of how much you spend instore. But be very careful, the £yy is usually closely related to what they want you to buy, so you won't make THAT much by buying the cheapest thing. And if you don't spend £yy you will have to pay tax on the difference between £yy and what you actually spend.
I must say GAP are better than they were - £yy on the coffee assignments now pays for a mocha, so you do make 25p or so if you buy a latte!(I like mochas best though, and used to subsidise them)

'Bare' say the name of the shopper has to be the same as the one on the bank account. I'm just hoping my GR payments go through o.k. as my account is in my maiden name.0 -

Me too, I've been with them since the start of the year and they used to only email me with jobs that were in a town 30 miles away.
Now they're on the website, I'm always at work when the new jobs go on and never get the chance to keep refreshing to find jobs and iritatingly there seem to be loads in my area - East Mids.:mad:0 -
Im in East Mids too and never seem to be able to get to the jobs on time, somone else keeps snaffling them when im at work!0

I barely get anything with GR. Had a couple with GAP and more I could have done if I'd had the time. There's been a couple at RE, and I find the two of them to be pretty good. Not registered with any others just yet.

Hi folks,
Wonder if anyone can help please? Just registered to do a fuel mystery shop with Gap tomorrow & noticed that it says to put £x amount of petrol in your car, later on it says purchase £x worth of fuel. My question is does anyone know if it has to be petrol or whether it can be diesel?
This is with a company where you might collect the name of it on a beach (crustacean?)
The exact quote is "You can only buy petrol to fill the car - no cans, bottles, bags etc." I'm assuming here the emphasis is on filling the car and not on petrol?
I'm also doing one for another fuel place that only says to buy £x amount of a premium fuel, and just checked they do the premium fuel in diesel so I'm ok with that one, phew!
It's not even like you get paid for doing these either, is it? Still, I'm passing both fuel stations & the car has to run on something, so at least I'm not out of pocket, either way!0 -

Oooo, an interesting question!
I'm 95% sure you will be fine with diesel. Yes, you are correct about the emphasis on filling the CAR - they are very stern that you mustn't fill fuel cans. I suspect that they won't even notice that you buy diesel instead of petrol. (I also suspect that something has got lost in 'translation' here - what do Aussies call diesel?)
I've done this assignment lots of time, and the focus is on cleanliness of the retail outlet, and how the staff present themselves and their venue, so can't think that they'll mind what sort of fuel you buy!Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -
Thanks for the info, I've registered with a few. Fingers crossed now!0
