Interestingly, this is the message I received:Thank you for your message.
We do at present send out a broadcast twice a day, to say that there are jobs available, but the jobs could have been there previous to he e-mail going out. This could mean someone could have accepted in between. This is now changing to an e-mail going out to every hour, if there is/has been an assignment available within the last hour.
I would advise that it would be better to check back as often as possible, as jobs are being put on to the website throughout the day.
Hope this helps.
Kind regards
So it looks like they're just sending out a pre-written email too!
Incidentally, their email to me didn't particularly answer what I'd asked them either!0 -
Interesting ... my response was this:
Hi xxxxx
Thank you for your feedback.
I have passed this on to the team.
Kind regards0 -
Has anyone worked for ISC (International Service Check)?
I did my first job for them on 3rd Sept, and I got excellent feedback about my report, but I have not been paid. I have emailed twice, but they just say the money will be paid tomorrow, but it never arrives
The job was a jewellry shop, and the cheapest item cost more than the spend reimbursement, which I wasn't too happy about, but did the job anyway.
The job spec says I must not take the item back to the shop, and I don't think they would take them back anyway as I bought earrings.
Has anyone else waited for payment from them, and how long did it take?0 -
I did one for ISC and it was in june or july i think, still not paid.Member no.1 of the 'I'm not in a clique' group :rotfl:

That's strange ... I have been paid the other day for jobs carried out mid September. So far they have always paid me .......0
-
I have always been paid by ISC always to my paypal account, but they have always paid on time and been very polite with communication.
Slightly off topic...
I applied for a Project Managers job with one of the companies and was successful to the stage, where I was asked to attend training.
The training was at short notice (10 days) and would last 6 full (8hr) consecutive days.
I found out shortly before the training was due to start, that this wouldn't be paid for, only the travel, food and accommodation. I didn't think this was acceptable. Is this normal for this type of work? I just got the impression I was being taken for a mug???!!!!!
Thanks

I have done mystery shopping for over a year, and I think I am very good at it. Has anyone ever put mystery shopping on their CV or would that make me sound really stupid? I know you have to have an eye for detail, and have to be very precise, would that look good on a CV or not? Any suggestions? Many thanks.0

I have and people CAN be impressed by it if you give examples of types of job you have done but do not give retailers names. E.g. Departmemt of Transport Research, website end-to-end usability studies, covert interviews for the FSA.Member no.1 of the 'I'm not in a clique' group :rotfl:

I know we have to be a bit careful giving specifics on here, so hope you can understand what I am saying!
I have been mystery shopping for a year but tonight took an assignment from the company which aims primarily at students who want to eat greasy burgers - you know the one?!
Anyway, they have accepted me to shop a pizza buffet tomorrow and say I can visit as a group and the reimbursement is enough for about three people. I thought it would be ok to take my partner, but know how picky they are from this forum regarding receipts and getting it just right. Having read the assignment notes there is contradictory advice about billing for my companion and I hope someone here can tell me how they have handled these assignments. I am supposed to be doing it tomorrow, Friday, so need help urgently as don't want to risk not being paid.
Many thanks in anticipation.:beer:But there are dreams that cannot be,and there are storms we cannot weather!0 -
If it's the company who have the same name as a clothes shop (the space between 2 points) and the pizzas are an eat in for a dwelling which could be made of mud, then I can reassure you that I have taken my partner before now and been reimbursed. Also I have done one of these recently and there is FAR too much food for one!
It seems to be traditional for MS companies to tell you on one hand that you can take a companion, and on the other to say that they won't pay for food for extra members of the group. I think what they mean is that they will not pay for more people than they specify, and they won't pay more than the maximum they have told you about.
