Hiya
I'm about to try and reclaim for bank charges from NatWest but I'm wondering whether I can if my account is currently overdrawn or does this matter?
Also, do I account for the just the £28 charge or do I also include the interest? I'd be s grateful for any advie
Yes you can reclaim whether the account is overdrawn, in credit, closed etc, etc, The reclaims guide tells you how to work out the interest on the charge.0 -
HELP!I'm due to be clobbered with a £167 of charges on December 1st!
I've cleared my overdraft with them and my finanancial boat is gradually coming back on an even keel.
With the big court ruling coming on Wednesday and if it goes in our favour, will they still be able to take it off me as I've worked bloody hard to dig myself out the s*** these last few months and Lloyds are not helping by trying to fill the hole back in as I'm on my way out!
Is there anything I can do in the shorterm?
Please advise.Never skimp on Shoes,Tea bags and fishing tackle!0 -

Judegment day is tomorrow and I hve decided to look into this again...
I have 3 years worth of £35 charges which i incurred and couldn't pay back (due to incompetence at the banks end and the fact that charges just kept mounting up).
I'm not sure whether the initial £25 charge is included with the reclaim at all but I intend to gain around £1000 when I am able to reclaim.
Interesting to see the outcome. I know it will be the end of free banking but apart from the odd 20 buff to go to the pub, who doesn't use their card to pay for stuff these days?
Also how will this effect my dad? He took out an IVA due to bank charges mounting (his own fault really) and now he may get a refund, does that mean the IVA will be scrapped as he is struggling with the payments for that as well...0 -
HI everyone,
I have just got off the phone with HSBC who have had another look over my claim due to financial hardship and I have been told tht my claim has been succesful and that they agree I am in financial hardship, but they are only in a position to offer me a monthly refund to help with my living costs.
I have been offered £170.00 for the next 2 months to help pay for day to day living and if and when the court case is completed and in my favour then they will look at refunding all of my charges.
They are sending a letter for me to sign to say I am happy with the refund before they crdit it to my account.
Surely if they agree I am in financial hardship then they should give me a full refund?!?!?
Any ideas please?
