thanks to lloyds tsb stupidity i was left with no way of accessing any of my money using my debit card last week. first i knew of it was when trying to make a payment using my debit card and it came up as blocked. came home phoned lloyds and was told yes that's right your card is blocked as we have sent you a replacement card.

i told them i haven't received a replacement card and they told me no that's right it was returned to branch and destroyed. i was also told by the numpty on the phone that i should use one of my other cards! i replied i haven't got any other cards as i assumed lloyds wouldn't be so !!!!ing dumb as to cancel my only means of accessing my money! imagine if i'd been on holiday? i'd be stuffed.

so they blocked my card and didn't bother sending me a replacement.

i had to visit my local branch as the nob wit on the phone couldn't manage to send me a new card. :T

i was ever so slightly livid by this point so on route to lloyds i popped into natwest to open a new account as i had every intention of then going to lloyds and closing my account with them, got to natwest to be told "sorry sir i haven't got any advisers free but i can make you an appointment" the branch was empty. i replied never mind you obviously don't want my business.

    i hate banks.

I have a student account with Lloyds TSB and getting upgraded to a Graduate Account beginning of August. Just having finished university and being unemployed, the interest free overdraft is really important. I'd hate to think that TSB would change about the graduate account and even possibly take it off me. They already dropped the limit on my CC despite paying above the minimum each month and always on time. Just a little worried.
Currently in a Protected Trust Deed - 17 payments until DEBT FREE - February 2027

I'm in the same situation. But I'm abroad until late September so I am left with no access to my money. Which probably means I'll change banks when I return. Stupid Lloyds!
