The original email cited over 800 potential victims/witnesses, presumably scattered all over the UK & beyond, so on reflection it seems only feasible to contact us all via email rather than any other means. I sent all the forms back last night, will keep you posted!£2 Savers Club 2016 #21 £14/£250

Seems this was suggested but perhaps overlooked on the advise of the Metpol! Be wary of who people say they are/related to/used to be.londondealer wrote: »I'm a police officer in the MET never heard of a detection being handled via email. Even used it for visitors to a busy petrol station where a serious crime (att. murder) had been committed. Took the car numbers from CCTV and contacted as many as they could via online means - it went to Court recently and the Judge even commented on the way it was dealt with saving £'s. If you think about it, it is easier for one officer to collate than get 20 officers up and down the country, in various Forces doing it manually.
It is a quick point of contact and the OIC's details can be verified by ringing the Force themselves.0 -
Spotted on BBC News today:
Designer handbag thief Jayne Rand to pay back £117,171
So that's that. Not clear who she's supposed to pay the money back to - the ebay buyers? the shops she stole from? - but it doesn't matter 'cos its unlikely anyone will see their money again. I'm proud to have played my small part in bringing her to justice.
