morning, it's looking about overcast here and the forecast is showery but as usual I will stil persevere in hanging out the washing.
Yesterday I ordered shoes DD2 wants for going back to school, they had £7.50 off them and 90p TCB tracked so I am pleased with that. I will move the £7.50 to OP pot.
I didn't go to the shops for rolls I made do with what I had in.
I went to visit my sister which was very fruitful she bought me a pair of shoes in the sale which will be great for going back to work. She wouldn't take the money for them as I am doing her a favour today said it was payment for that. My mum was there and she gave me a hairdye she had bought that was the wrong colour for her so a very worthwhile visit
.
I also meal planned roughly for the month taking into account what is in so I seriously want to try and cut the shopping budget so I can shave some into OP account. I will need to go to shops today as I need bread and milk.
I've collected 61 adpoints this morning and completed a VO survey, I think I have £17ish sitting in VO.
Anyway off to tidy up and then go and pick my sis up. Have a good day all

Afternoon

£500 OP made today have been swithering about whether to pay it this month or not but I've bit the bullet and just paid it. DD paid me back some money she owed me, wasn't expecting it so a wee bonus.
I collected 14 adpoints today and got screened out of VO again. I have requested a £9.55 payment from TCB I usually convert it to CC points however have decided if it's over a £5 to take the cash and pay it towards the mortgage.
i walked to drop off an application form for my brother this morning to save petrol.
I went a shop in Mr Ms yesterday I needed bread and milk however did a £40 shop as I had a £6.75 worth of vouchers I could use in there. I don't live that close to a Mr M but I was giving my sister a lift to where there is one round the corner. So I thought I would just go in and buy stuff that will do for the month so as to use vouchers. I moved the £6.75 to OP pot.
We all went to the cinema last night, tuesdays cheap night so only £3.25 a ticket so with tickets and popcorn, took juice with us just over £20 for all of us.
I've had a lazy day lounging about the house, I am off to prep dinner and make some potato salad to use up natural yoghurt I opened last night and use up some rather sad looking spring onions.

Morning, it's miserable here today, the rain is on and it's very grey. The good thing is I won't need to water the plants

I have completed a ugov survey for 50p, got an email from walkers with a 50p off coupon and an emai from £co to say £13.55 on it's way I will move that to OP pot when it hits the bank. No adpoints today.
I have been looking at my mortgage and still have £3000 I am allowed to OP before January. I am arguing with myself as to whether I should move it from savings and OP it just now or just go with paying it monthly. I don't really want to take it out the savings but I would like to reduce the interest on the mortgage. If anyone is reading this I would like your thoughts, What would you do?
I will make dinner from stores tonight, I am thinking of making a certain Mr R@msays sweetcorn fritters as I have corn I need to use up. Although my meal plan was to make a fish pie tonight. Decisions, decisions.
I has a NSD yesterday other than OP to mortgage. I think I might take DD shopping today she didn't want to go yesterday. She needs new underwear and school stuff. I could get some of it online 10% cheaper but she likes to go to the shops and she is very petite so it is better for her to try thngs on. Only trouble with that is any time we go shopping we always go for lunch, now that could be money I could OP :rotfl:
Have a good day all

That's me back from the shops, school uniform bought except for two more shirts. New underwear too so all done rather quickly to my surprise
Also got 10% off in new look too so that was a bonus.
I also bought some groceries in mr A I know I wasn't going to spend however they had loads of cereal on offer working out at a £1 a box so savings in the long run and L butter on offer at 2 for a fiver.
Need to sort out budgets and I will update.0 -

Hi Kirsty, they were very easy to make and they were quite tasty got recipe online. I'm thinking there could be lots of variations for a quick, easy meal or side dish.
This mornings efforts- £9.55 from TCB paid into bank have moved it to OP pot
- £13.55 from £co paid into bank I have moved that to OP pot
- 25p VO
- 17 adpoints
- I am going to send in meter readings, have decided t keep track f usage so I can budget for the winter better when the usage is high.
My clubcard statement came in yesterday, so some MOC and £22 in points. i think I will save them to perhaps use them at Christmas in Goldsm!ths. I had a lot more but used them up in the denby sale. I think I have £33 in total.
I have my 2 nieces coming this afternoon for a sleepover, should be fun they are funny and great company
Don't know what dinner will be tonight have loads in but we might take the girls out if the weathers ok later to a park and if we do we will probaby get dinner when we are out.

Evening, well my 2 wee angels are asleep I forgot how tiring it is trying to keep up with little ones thay are so full of energy. they are hilarious though, they say such funny things :rotfl:
Before they came today i managed to get another 2 surveys completed £1.75 i total.
However, I have ordered £220 worth of shoes from Off!ce  for DD, she bought a pair herself which were £117 with student discount and I told her to get another couple of pairs as they were in the sale and they are JC's which she loves and they were a bargain. On the plus side £11 tracked in £co.
I really shouldn't go on the computer and look at shops because I can't resist a bargain.
I've got a cheek, my Dh came in with flowers for me tonight (wonder what he's after) lol and I thought I'd rather have paid the money into the mortgage OP how terrible is that!!! Although it was very thoughtful and they are lovely. He also bought a bunch for my sis who has just got a new job, he is good.
Anyway off to check on the girls and make a cuppa

Morning the little ones are still asleep, I am surprised as they are usually u about 6.30 so I have managed to get online this morning and look at the banking, check emails etc.
No adpoints today think I've had my quota for the week and nothing else to report moneywise. I have checked bank accounts and will do a shuffle later and see what I can move to OP pot.
I am going to take my wee nieces to a country park today it's a gala day. Hopefully the rain will stay away.
Still undecided what to do regarding paying the £3000 allowance left that I can OP. It is playing on my mind.
I am trying to figure out if it will save me more money interest wise to pay it now or just plod on with the monthly payments.
My worry is that I will leave us short although there is money in savings but I'd rather not use it. There will e no income from DH this month as we were away on holiday for 3 weeks and a big bill to pay to the suppliers.
Any suggestions, what would you do?0 -
It's a marathon not a sprint Ixia, I would keep the savings just in case you need them later. If they are not emergency savings then depends on the rate you are getting for them v the mortgage interest...Mortgage OP 2025 £7500/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000
Mortgage balance: £34,465
Money making challenge £78/400

Thanks SS for your reply.
Savings rate and mortgage are about the same. I think I will just leave it and see what happens. You are right it isn't a sprint although it seems to be on my mind a lot at the moment.
Maybe it's because I am not at work just now and have too much time to think lol. I am sure once I am back at work there will be too many other things to do.
Off to make a cuppa, little ones stil asleep think I'll have to go and make some noise to wake them :rotfl:
have a great weekend all.0
