This is unfair of the member to assume that you would 'expect' someone to lend you money.

Try reading the original post again - it will probably be hard for you to understand so I will highlight the pertinent part for you "I honestly don't care... I just need £5,000 quickly"

The OP is posting on a loans board that he needs £5K, therefore he is obviously expecting that someone will recommend a lender who will lend him that money.

"zero chance of finding any company daft enough to lend you money" (apples2)
The term 'daft enough' is completely unnecessary, degrading and rude.

Any company willing to lend money to a unemployed person who is already in arrears would be daft, so this seems totally accurate to me.

These are just a few examples of why this post is my first and last on the forums of MoneySavingExpert.

With the useful advice you've given  I'm sure that you will be missed. Perhaps you should go and set up your own forum where people who with ridiculous requirements can go and give each other hugs.

Can we assume you never did get your £5k loan then Mansard?:rotfl:
  • I totally agree with Sooty33!

I have read through a few threads today and have been disgusted with some comments from long term users, especially in this thread.
I thought this was a forum that helps people. Instead some members are very rude and up themselves. They obviously have nothing better to do but to make fun of new users who are asking for advice.
This is also my first and last time on this forum but before I go I will be reporting some uncalled for comments on this thread.

Judging by the new username, I would say that "he" obviously got the money from somewhere and the surgery was a success.

Before today this thread would have been on page 8 of the loan forum. There were 160 threads posted on more recently than this one just on this one board. Thousands across the whole forum.

Do new posters who stumble across this thread and then post on it read all the 160 more recent threads first?

    Confused.
A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who give

No, "they" have it saved as a favourite and sign up with today's username and then go straight to it.

My bet is they have it set as a homepage so they can register with a new username and come on and bleat how the replies were oh so terrible.

I ALMOST thought I detected a cynical undertone to that post. Almost.

    But then I thought...no, it's Tixy. Can't be...
