Yeh and i was SHOCKED as i put syrup in my porridge and syrup on my normal weetabix! I don't know if it was the milk, i used skimmed and I am used to semi or full fat. Will give it a try again tomorrow. Everyone deserves a second chance :D

I'd put honey on my porridge usually, as opposed to syrup. But yet I find that the Quaker syrup porridge is too sweet for me!!! I don't get it! :p

Never used Giff Gafff myself but I imagine there's a load of threads on here....

  • I only eat one weetabix.......although to be honest I do n't really eat breakfast during the week. a weird cereal bar situation in the car, that is my breakfast.

Just thought I'd come and stick with Amy so she doesn't feel lonely :)
    Nevertheless she persisted.
  • Poor Amy. It's okay girlies, variety is the spice of life...we need people in this world who only eat one, yes ONE weetabix ;)

Was watching the news last night, Boston Marathon Bombings, 3 young boys killing a homeless man, who was sleeping in a doorway, for a DARE, then watched a video on 3 young guys stabbing two young boys who were literally just sitting on a wall after a nightout waiting on their sister picking them up. What is this world coming to? So so sad. Honestly I was nearly crying my eyes out.

I then watched a video of a stranger saving a young girls life and then her dad and the stranger hugging it out for ages in relief and it restored my faith in humanity.

Onto something more materialistic, I keep wanting to buy things that I think I need when I don't need them, so I find that a wish list/buy list helps, so here is my list of things to be purchased throughout this year...that I need (well kind of)...not including wedding things...

    1. Running Backpack
    2. Running trainers
    3. Snowboard clips
    4. Black boots
    5. Nude wedges
    6. Clothes hanging rail
    7. IPod arm running thing
    8. New mobile phone contract
    9. Hair curling tongs (big barrell)
    10. New Hairdryer
    11. New hairstraightners

I will be totally judged for this but...

    12. I want botox and colonic for my wedding! Colonic just day before it! Botox I'll need to get soon If I want the benefits...Hmmmm....I REALLY want it! Seriously looking into it just now.

Moment for everyone to judge....GO...! xxx
  • Buffythedebtslayer: traitor!! :rotfl::rotfl:

I don't know what the world is coming too :( Forever hearing bad stories.
    Love this story though :)

Interesting wish list ;) And who am I to judge anyone?! All I will say is that make sure you pay for any/all of it in cash please! No credit cards/loans!! ;)

I got nude shoes in Barratts a couple of weeks ago - £15 down from £30. They had quite a selection too. Worth a look!

You've got 12 things on your list. Well, 13 coz you've put 2 things into number 12. If it is stuff you really need, then why not save up and 'treat' yourself to one thing off your list every month? Prioritise your list though so you're not buying trainers first if you're more in need of straighteners. But that list could be your wee mini goals for the next 12 months.

  • Never had Botox but have had colonic before. It was fine by way of an experience but I didn't lose weight or feel oodles better afterwards like they said I would. I'd do it again if I won it for free or something but I wouldn't pay for it again.

That said, I think everyone should try everything once :D Xx

Ohh that is a nice story. He got to finish! At least they did not take that away from him! :(

No credit cards - I PROMISE :D I am becoming obsessed with getting this overdraft cleared! Obviously not that obsessed that I made up a shopping list though...*sigh*...

Will defo try barratts! I got shoes from there before and they were soooo comfy!

That is a good idea HeadAboveWater! My friend buys 1 designer/expensive high street thing each month (reiss/karen millen/french connection). No more than 1 thing since she was about 20 and she has the most amazing wardrobe as she keeps everything good. Karen Millen handbags, 100's of french connection dresses. Where me and my mate used to go to primark, river island, New Look, top shop every other week buy lots of stuff. Then bin it.

You think alot harder, and really decide what you want if you only get 1 thing, and she used to buy clothes that she could mix and match, i.e this plain strapless french connection dress that she would wear one day with a belt and matching shoes and clutch and next night out it would be this big chunky necklace and hair up and it looked like a completely different outfit. #bemorelikethis

SO i'll apply this here! One thing a month...now to decide what really is a priority (as much as hairstraightners and shoes can be a priority :D).

Think Botox is up there on the priority list. Interesting please-let-me-be-lucky! Colonic I think might be more in the mind where it is more "feeling cleansed" than actually being cleansed. There are no after affects are there? Would it be too risky to do day before wedding? xx
  • At risk of it being too much info for some, no there are no problems afterwards as they leave you feeling like you still 'need to go', so you go straight to the loo there and finish the job yourself :o. This means that you aren't left worrying about going next time and it's all normal when you do go.

the only thing I'd be wary of doing it the day before is just how much other stuff you will have to do that day wedding wise! Xx

  • Think you are toally right - too risky day before. I'll maybe do week before, when i will be detoxing to look FABULOUS...obvs ;)

I've been selfish today - not checked into anyones diaries. Sorrry!

But I applied for another credit card - HEAR ME OUT! Balance transfer only. SO as soon as I get card and transfer is through I will cut up card.

Now I can feel you judging, but previously I stopped the idea of balance transfers as I didn't trust myself but feel I am in a much better place :)

So plan to focus on wedding savings and overdraft whilst credit card is generating 0% interest (for 18 months, will be long gone by then If i have my way), then once overdraft clear start hammering credit card and close the minute it is cleared. Done this once before with a barclays transfer but it was only £800 on it. Not £3,500!

Fee is 3% which is approx £105, where the interest is like £85 or something on the credit card A MONTH! So defo think it is the smart decision! Just went with the one with my bank as I think you have better chances at getting it then...no? Looks to be all approved though.
