It's really good to see amazon look after their sellers. I wish ebay would do the same.0

If Amazon have linked your accounts it is more likely that cousin actually used your address as well, personally I would speaking to my cousin about this.
Incidentally if you have ebay accounts and your cousin has run amok there, you may also face issues with your account.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. There have been previous threads about buyers losing their accounts through too many returns etc and Amazon are hot on linking accounts. I would do as previously suggested and write a short letter summarising the facts. You can google a UK address to send it to as I think with an email you're just going to get a standard reply, although it would be worth emailing them first. There are some Amazon forums on the UK/US sites that may be able to offer some more advice and have members who have come across situations like you're in before.
I don't know where you stand with the gift card balance but you could try as they suggested and contact the provider of it. It may be only they can reclaim the balance?0 -

Yes I agree but it was NOT me who abused amazon policy I have never returned an item done a-z claim neither has my boyfriend or my parents yet we are banned through someone else's fault. I agree to ban poor buyers but why punish everyone it's not fair I had no idea that she was abusing amazon I never had any warning I just had an email my account was closed.0 -

Thank you for your reply. My cousin has used my address yes but we had no idea that she was abusing amazon policy had I of known this I would not of let it get this far I would of refused all parcels and contacted amazon myself. She also used ebay on her account same address the few months she stayed with us but I've had no contact off ebay as of yet and I daren't contact them in case it sets off alarm bells but she has said she did not do anything wrong on eBay but had I of not been banned from amazon I would never of known she had abused amazon policy so I don't know whether to believe her or not if I am honest.0 -

Whilst it seems unfair the reason is that buyers themselves are dishonest- we get threads on here all the time suggesting that a new account is opened up to get round restrictions or bans from online companies.
They cannot be sure that you and your cousin are not the same person, but it is unusual for Amazon to do it merely on an IP- they usually work on bank details or geographic addresses, which is why I wonderd if cousin had used your postal address as well as your IP address. That would make a lot more sense.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I could kick myself now for it I feel decieved (spelling?) and hurt the fact she stupidly abused amazon policy and also got me and my relatives banned at the same time. I have tried everything and I could thump her for doing it
In that case I really don't think you stand much chance at all of getting your account back- but I would still persevere in trying to get recompense for your gift card.
It woul db ehardh to link you on just an IP address, but I think using the same geographic address just links you firmly to your cousin.
Also, to be fair if your cousin has claimed non receipt, that is reason enough to ban your address anyway in case your address is the issue. I'm sorry but i think you are stuck here.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
