You don't need to pay the whole bill at once. Inform Virgin you have money problems and will only be able to pay a weekly payment.

Depending how polite you are to them, they are able to accept this and may offer to reduce the fee payable.

I have just come across this thread in a search for something else. I sympathise with WorkfromHome because I do think the terms of many of these telecom contracts are stacked against the user.

But nothing justifies Gordon Hose's offensive remarks and I have complained to the moderators about them.

I have reported the post above as a blatant attempt at trolling.

Please, please, please quote my offensive posts?

If you feel Telephone and Broadband contracts are stacked against you, then you are perfectly within your rights not to sign up to them.

If more people took responsibility for their actions, and read small print, then they wouldn't be here expecting the community to give them an internet hug and tell them it'll be alright.

If you can't handle being told the truth you shouldn't ask any questions.

    Reported.

For your information being nice got me nowhere. And that goes for most things when your a woman. They expect you to accept what your given and not make a fuss.

The only people who have actually tried to help me at Virgin have been on Twitter of all places. They have also said I won't have to pay more than £180. Which is a hell of a lot better than the £409.90 I was told before. If I hadn't made a fuss and listened to you useless lot then I'd be in debt.

Thanx for nothing. I'll be using Twitter from now on. The people in this forum are unhelpful. I won't be reading your replies.

If the OP had bothered to do a forum search then she would see that this same question is asked several times a week. But the answer does not change. If you move to a non-cable area and don't want to transfer to Virgin National, you pay the ETC due.
Appealing to the Exec Office is completely futile, because it''s a clear contractual term.
