Virgin a joke!

Virgin Media does not have a Universal Service Obligation, unlike BT. This has always been the case and is why BT's network serves everywhere and Virgin Media's does not.0

visidigi and Gordon Hose, why be abusive to the person, maybe they CAN'T afford the new rent the landlord has increased, some people don't exactly get paid that well, you can't just go around blaming the person
@Gordon "Don't let the door hit you on the way out." wow, you really are so mature, people like you don't deserve to breathe, basically bullying a woman saying its her own fault that she has to move, some of us aren't on well paid income. The rabbit hole is deep and once you take that red pill you'll just keep on falling0 -
Simple story here - the OP decided to put up an unjustified rant and didn't like the replies which in essence said this isn't the suppliers fault it's what you signed up for.
Her petulant exit post lead to the reply from Gordon Hose.
A sad little thread for sure. May it rest in peace.0 -

Oh god. The internet whiteknight is here.
No one is being abusive.
No one is bullying anyone.
Need a tissue?
It is her fault she's moving.
The OP came here for advice, didn't hear what she wanted to hear and went off on one.
It's not VM's fault she has to move. The OP could stay where she is, or find somewhere in the same town that is cheaper and has VM cable. Problem sorted.
As for not deserving to breathe? Wow! :T
The irony in your post is simply astounding. How about you leave by the same emergency exit the OP used? It's the internet, either take a chill pill or smash your router up and go for some fresh air.0 -

Abusive? Seriously?
They are complaining about a paid service (which if money was tight you don't need)
I didn't know the OP was a woman, but then again, whats that got to do with anything?
The OP is trying to make out shes been sexually discriminated by Virgin Media.
And you think I have been abusive?
We've been unhelpful because we answered the question (or should I say rant) that the OP posted. No one other than Virgin can answer what could happen from the perspective of goodwill.
My personal experience of VM's twitter is quite frankly awful. They have this smug approach of trying to be trendy - it doesn't really work well.
If the OP has made progress good luck to them (what VM say versus what they do rarely matches up) - we correctly responded to the legal obligation of the OP towards VM.
Nothing said was unreasonable.0 -
the problem is folk dont understand what a contract is0

Plus I'm pretty sure that the £180 maximum is standard and not some special deal from the twitter team at all. A call to retentions as I suggested in my first reply rather than relying on the usually useless CS would maybe have sorted it out earlier.0

If the OP cannot afford a rent increase, perhaps a £40.99/month pay TV service is not for her. Simples.Sorry, but the customer is not always right. Often, you're very very wrong.0

Pot and kettle spring to mind here.
BTW, is there a reason why you're playing the female card here? I imagine the replies would have been the same if the OP was a guy.0 -
The replies would have been exactly the same. No one knew the OP was a woman until post #10!
Some people just don't like being told the truth.0
