Thank you for the company yesterday Lamewolf, I felt the posi-vibes when i needed them most.
I managed to tidy up my bed, change DD4 cot bedding, hoover the floor and clear one of my flat surfaces.
Cooking dinner was beyond me last night, so it was a Maccie D, with an instant win chicken nuggets courtesy of the current M0n0p0ly game, so it wasn't as expensive as it could have been.
Got back to try to use some mental spoons instead- went online and updated details for Student Finance for DD1 and DD2, and started to help DD2 get registered on there for herself, but their site kept falling over:(
Weather is only supposed to get to 14 deg today - feel a bit cheated......who has my other 6 degrees? :rotfl: I will try and get the curtains open today and make an effort to go downstairs. I have two loads of wet washing to be pegged out between the young Skints and myself, and the kitchen looks like a nuke has been set off in therewill have to try and do something in there rather than wait for a new list tomorrow.
Right time for a cuppa, catch up on Fred and try and shift my Harris into gear:wave:
The cold never bothered me anyway0 -
Today is so windy that when I opened the door to let the dogs out, the wind blew all the dust from under my 'too heavy to move' furniture, and I had one of those moments....so from now on when I want to clean under the furniture I'm going to get the hairdryer out first. Just thought I'd share that.
Result!
I have anchored the washing to the line. I have another load due to finsish shortly. I am fully expecting the first lot to be bone dry. Warm+sunny+ windy = PERFECT drying weather!
When I have drunk my coffee I shall iron yesterdays! A half load to wash then I will have an empty basket! Woot!
Work tomorrow *sigh*Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

2 loads of washing hung out, I need to get 2 more loads in but can't until I have a place to put the stuff from the dryer.
I am really struggling to walk today so me 'making a cuppa' means OH fills and moves the kettle (why does that hurt your hips so much?!) HE passed the teabags and milk and carried the drinks through lol.. I'm pretty useless today and have to clamber back upstairs to bath the 2 girls then OH is bathing the tiddlies .. not that they need it they spilled a 750ml bottle of baby bath over each other so they smell beautiful!

my 3rd washload of the day came out covered in gunk - so I have cleaned the gunky filter on my machine and am now having a test run!
The bedding will have to go back in eventually - I am hoping the gunk will come off, otherwise I will be 1 set of bedding down...:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
Hello.
I used to play here a long time ago - when I was a married stay-at-home mum. Now I'm a single mum, part-time cleaner (I make other people's houses shiny), part-time OU student and I'm living in a tip.
Please may I come back?
I'd like to not have to worry if someone calls in unexpectedly, I'd like to not spend half a day running around like an idiot if I know someone is coming, I'd like to be able to know where stuff is, and I'd like to be able to relax in a clean and tidy space on the odd occasion I do ever get to plonk my bum on the sofa.
Thank you xGrocery Challenge - no idea on monthly spend, guessing at £300
Budget started April 15 - so allowing £150 and revise from there (pantry well-stocked).
April £150/£1.900 -
Good afternoon everyone, its a rather dull day here today but still dry at the moment.
So far today I have managed to get DH to put his overalls in the washing machine. I have also managed to get the bread machine on, get the pudding (white choc bread & butter pudding) into the slow cooker for tonight and get the chicken casserole ready to go into the oven. DH has dusted the living room and clean the tv so thats another couple of things off my list.
DH is making lunch for the kids at the moment so I am going to grab a quick shower and then head off to the local boot sale, as I am looking for some buckets to plant veg in, a bin for composting and also a herb rack or shelf for the kitchen. I am going to see if I can get any cheap cuts of meat as well.
Hope everyone is having a good Sunday x0 -

Blowing nicely out there so hopefully the lot that is out will dry quickly so the next 2 lots can go out.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Dusty I guarantee you made the right decision about the conifer, and if the bald spot is bothering you, shove something pretty in the hole. I'm sorry you're struggling with the BD. Coping vibes for you, your DH, DFiL and the family, grandchildren included.
Bossy I neglected to comment last week on the bears - you had me in tears again. Thank you for showing them and telling us the story.
It's hissing down here again, and has been for several days. The forecast is really gloomy so I still can't fling the doors and windows and get the carpet washing cracking or clear the washing. Dog's bedding is all I can stay on top of at the moment.Better is good enough.0 -
