Bossy - you have so much fun with your lovely children that they will remember forever:T:T:T Your house looks very tidy so I really would not worry about housework xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -

Absolutely normal. Let the bugg*r follow you till its legs drop off. You've got a lot to think about, so decisions can be postponed; just go with the flow and enjoy your garden. xRemember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Thanks for birthday wishes. After a morning catching up on texts, cards, FB and flymessages, OH and I went up to Cambridge to get my pressie. Lucky lucky me - the family had clubbed together so I'm now the proud owner of a cute metallic green waterproof, shockproof, dustproof and generally holiday and Narc0lepsy-proof camera! We then ate too much (of things I shouldn't eat but what the heck - food intolerances can't happen on your birthday can they?) food in my favourite Greek restaurant, then came home and watched a mindless Meryl Streep film. Great day. Back to flying tomorrow; please pretty please let it be sunny enough to fly round the week patch of a garden.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0

ETA here it is
I have
sobbed watching BGT (the Hungarian dancers - was a 'igen' from me, too,) - I have a smattering of Hungarian - interestingly, I can say yes but not no (thought some of you might like that) I can also say hello and thank you;)
and Alice
oo...I said...she's going to sing jazz....
well wow!
and then we've watched the Truman Show, DD and I, and we were looking up 'Sylvia' and she was (irl the actress who played her) widowed whilst pregnant with her 3rd child and that made me sad, too.
Ooh some people get dealt a rough hand.
Another vote for micofibre cloths from me - they can be squeezed so dry that you can shine the sink and taps with them after wiping! I have two microfibre duster things too; ones a garish green mitten and it's fantastic for dusting fiddly stuff (I'm thinking of getting another and dusting ttwice as fast two handed ) and one's longer, like LW's duster-onna-stick and ideal for cobwebs and they come up lovely when washed (although the green one leached dye somethinng dreadful the first time it was washed) I fling them in with the towels.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear0 -
Ho hum
I fell off the lists but I have still been a clean and tidy bunny! I am all caught up with the washing and the drying (OH does the ironing)
The LR looks pretty good just need to hoover tomorrow
The kitchen is clean and tidy I have washed up AND put away the pots:eek::eek::eek: (I never put them away normally)
The bathroom needs a S&S tomorrow but isn't too bad
the room of doom (spare room AKA general dumping ground) doesn't look too bad, I tidied in there on Thursday and moved the furniture round which has made it look soooo much bigger :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
MUST CHANGE THE BED should have done it earlier in the week but OH washe's much better now :T:T
Right off to bed now
Night all
xxxxxGo hopefully into each new day, enjoy something from every day no matter how small, you never know when it will be your last0 -
Morning all. Hope everyone is ok today. I'm planning quite a lazy day, so just dailies for me.
Today is so windy that when I opened the door to let the dogs out, the wind blew all the dust from under my 'too heavy to move' furniture, and I had one of those moments....so from now on when I want to clean under the furniture I'm going to get the hairdryer out first. Just thought I'd share that.
Have a great Sunday everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Morning all we have sunshine so I'm planning on being outside all the time!Narc0lepsy wrote: »Absolutely normal. Let the bugg*r follow you till its legs drop off. You've got a lot to think about, so decisions can be postponed; just go with the flow and enjoy your garden. x
Thanks, I'm even struggling to make decisions about things in the garden, but not about buying new plants so there is hopeWe took a quite large conifer out yesterday on the spur of the moment, it was getting too big on the edge of our driveway and growing into the canopy of it's neighbouring sorbus. I'm riddled with did we do the right thing this morning as obviously it looks so different.
Right need to put the WM on, decide about dinner and get my gardening clothes on. DH and DS3 going roller skating and DS2 needs to get on with his work. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Morning!
We've been to a carboot sale! Kiddies were up early so I chucked em in the car with a cup of milk, a banana and a tub of raisins each, and we got there about 7.45. The early bird catches the worm, and DD found a big girl pram for her babies, a mamas and papas one. Is was £10 but in great condition and clean, and came complete with (another) dolly, matching bag and popup cot. So she is well pleased. We then spotted the blanky man, so I got a matching throw, so I'm well pleased. Then we found a toy garage! It's a fisher price small people (or something) one and its a little babyish to look at, but is bigger, needs batteries and has two ramps. So DS is well pleased. And it only cost £2.50!
So for less than £30 we all have just what we were looking for, and the kiddies had an icecream (at 8am ) and a ride on the roundabout thingy in a "fire engine".
Now I'm having a cuppa, and contemplating making myself some brekkie, although DS garage wants a bit of a wash... Blowing a hoolie outside so I might wash it in the bath...
A good start to the day!Bossymoo
Away with the fairies :beer:0
