    Morning all

Had another lie-in today. Getting up at 6am next week is going to be hard. Just today stuck at home and we can go out tomorrow (playing it safe after DD was sick Monday). DD needs to do her homework today, and I need to clear the ironing pile, so I might try and find something I can watch on the TV that DD isn't interested in since she needs to use the laptop & internet.

So todays plan, now I've finished rescanning the freeview, is to get the odd washing done, and clear the ironing pile. If I manage to get anything else done (other than tidying up and dailies) that'll be a bonus :o

Monday - kitchen and dining room
    Level one

Clear and wipe work surfaces, only put back what belongs here
    Level Two
Sweep and mop floors, Use a cloth to get right into the corners and do any skirtings too - will do when I've finished the laundry as
Clean the drawer and filter in the WM - after all the laundry is done
    Wipe table and chairs
    Level three
Sort out the your most cluttered drawer do you need all that stuff?
HHTidying up and finding homes for homeless things which make flying tricky
    Wipe over the hob

Tuesday - Living Room, Hall and Stairs
    Level 1

Vacuum through the living room, hall and stairs
    Level 2
Clear the coffee table/mantle/other cluttered area and give it a wipe
Clean windows and all glass, including the tv screen
    Level 3
HHPaperwork, make any medical appointments - anybody due a smear?

Wednesday - Master Bedroom and Landing
    Level 1

Strip the bed linen and wash and replace - later in the week.
    Level 2
    Hoover
    Dust away any cobwebs
    Level 3
Have some me time – soak your feet and read a magazine etc
Do any mending, sew on buttons etc
Sort out your summer tops in hope of some nice weather

Off to get dressed now the freeview is fixed

Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

However, there's a query I can at least partly answer:
It'll vary, depending on the machine you have, but if it helps, on my old Zanussi there was a round twist-off "plug" at the bottom on the right, this was the filter. On my current Bosch I have to prise off a panel at the bottom of the machine (actually Mr LW does this, it's too stiff for me) and there's a similar round twist-off "plug" behind this, but on the left. Sorry I can't be more specific - but a word to the wise: have an old towel or other cloth to hand, as it tends to be a bit of a wet task.;)

Thanks so much for your reply :T Will get my OH to look at the panel at the bottom later - I have already done the drawer :)

ETA: On a related flying note I have completely sorted through all the girls toys and their playroom as well as repotting my tomato, strawberry and squash plants... I can't put them outside yet as I'm worried about a late frost so they're just going in bigger and bigger pots!! We have also potted some cucumber, runner beans, courgette and squash seeds today Was surprised with the size and colour of runner bean seeds! :)

    Hi everyone

Had a bad start top the week - unsurprisingly, I think my blood pressure was up again :( - but it's settled now, and between 4.00 pm yesterday and 9.00 am today I cleaned the house from top to bottom (and still managed more than 6 hours' sleep, for a change!!!)
And I mopped my kitchen floor :T

The cause of the major flying - the surveyor acting for our buyers -arrived promptly at 9.00 this morning and finally left at 12.30. He has given the house the thumbs up :D

2x WM now hanging out to dry. We have another lovely sunny day - I shall miss the weather here when we move back to the damper climate of the Midlands.

DH has gone off to his voluntary work this afternoon so I can get on with some urgent phonecalls and paperwork once I've finished my :coffee:

It will be another early start for us tomorrow, with more house viewings. Why do the majority of houses on the market in the area we want and at the price we can afford have gardens that face north?

Sorry your day has gone pear-shaped, pigpen. Any bids on your bath yet?

I use a butter knife to open the drawer. PUT A THIN DISH UNDERNEATH BEFORE TURNING THE CAP this is where the water will come out. Turn slowly as a lot may come out so you may need to empty the dish before removing completely. It may be grey, sludgy and smelly in there

I am clearing the long border at the front of the house (approx 4' by 25') of asters and couch grass - it is a big job - which I shall be returning to in a minute.

Been to cricket store with DS3 - I am now £166 lighter

Taken DS1 to chiropodist. Had lunch. Time for a cuppa, chocolate and then to the garden.

Boddy I've just read what happened to your DD; suffice it to say I am angry on her behalf. Even people with "fetishes" should know about personal space and not encroaching on it. I hope the creep gets suitably disciplined.

I think Mr LW may need new specs... he put Mary outside twice early this morning, and just before he left for work, informed me that she still hadn't pooed. So, as we always do, I put her outside for a last trundle round the garden before breakfast (brekkie for her is at 08:00) and as I set her down outside what do you suppose I saw on the back lawn, just near the washing line??:D Any closer, he'd have stepped in it!:rotfl:
