Im thinking of opening one of these but have just one question.

Can I keep paying bits and bobs in throughout the year up to the maximum allowed amount? So for example, could I pay in £2, 500 now and then £250 a month for the rest of the year? Or do I have to fund the account with the maximum £5, 760 now?

    You're welcome:beer:
Don't understand how the other posters have been able to open one just for transfer in though. They say initial deposit needs to be by cheque!!!

Yeah I know. I have just ignored their request for a cheque, because I only want to make a transfer, not deposit any new money. I expect they will be able to handle this.

Okay will open them and see what happens. I did notice that they say if you want to transfer from other providers use their transfer form. Might look at that when I get an account number.

I have opened the isa and have printed the form off which I have to send off. Are you saying that you are just sending this form off and then asking for a transfer in. Because I had an account in the past they were able to okay my application and I have an account number. Do you then download the transfer my isa application form and send only that off or do you send both off to them?

Yes it is one of the quickest I have done, but nothing on the application form for transferring from other providers.

Does anyone know if I can open this just now and use it for a transfer in November?

As I would like to pay into last years isa just now as I'm getting a better rate but would be looking to transfer in nov when the rate drops.

I also got an account number and my application is okayed. So I just sent both the forms to the address on the transfer form.

The worst that can happen is that they tell me they need something different but for now I assume they will have everything they need.
