ISA 2.55% Leeds building Society

Hi All,

Not seen this one mentioned anywhere yet...seems to be the best rate I can find. 2.55% Cash ISA with Leeds Building Society.

http://www.leedsbuildingsociety.co.uk/savings/online-bonus-isa.html

Seems to be paying 2.55% and allows transfers in - if I am right.

Can anyone else find a better rate, before I open this one?

It`s the best available currently allowing tranfers in but remember:

From 1 May 2014, the rate will revert to 1.30% Tax-free§ p.a./AER† (variable)

Its the best one I could find which a) accepts transfers in and b) doesn't require substantial initial deposit/transfer.

I opened one yesterday (took less than 10 minutes) with a £100 transfer request, as a home for my Nationwide Flexclusive when the rate drops on 1st November

I was looking at this isa as well and was going to be doing the same as you. I was going to open it just now but transfer my nationwide isa to it when the rate drops on the 31st oct.

Will you be able to transfer as late as oct nov? as it says you can only transfer while the account is open to new customers?

So if it closes between now and nov you won't be able to?

Signed up last night and have applied to Leeds BS to transfer my ISA from Santander.

Not a bad rate given what else is available.

For an extra 0.05% what the point?

After the trouble I had making a withdrawal from their so-called "easy access" ISA I can't get away from them quick enough :p

Me too, for same reason - but hoping that I'll (be given the chance to) think of something better than 2.55% when the time comes.
  • Me three!, well transferred in (or will do) some money, so that I've got the account in July when my regular saver matures.

Im thinking of opening one of these but have just one question.

Can I keep paying bits and bobs in throughout the year up to the maximum allowed amount? So for example, could I pay in £2, 500 now and then £250 a month for the rest of the year? Or do I have to fund the account with the maximum £5, 760 now?

Just logged into my Leeds Building Society Account (still allowing me to log in despite no deposits) and the only option is to open a new 2013-2014 isa with them. They also state first deposit must be by cheque. So is this your first isa you have opened for this tax year??
