If I get at least middle rate care of DLA, will this give me any premium of ESA? If so how much?
What would also be the premium be on Income Support for having middle rate care?
Thanks

Do you live alone? Who lives with you?
Does anyone get carers allowance to care for you?
Are you in WRAG or SG? or on assessment or on appeal having been found fit for work?
Are you on ESA Conts or ESA IR?
Why do you think you would qualify for Income Support?0 -
Thank you.0

you don't get enhanced premium for lrc only high care or if in support group esa irHorseunderwater wrote: »If you do get awarded MRC DLA, then provided you are on income related ESA - you would get the appropriate Disability premium, which in this case would be £59.50 /week for single or low couple rate or if on HRC would be £119 high rate. However even if you only get LRC you would still get Enhanced DP of £15.15 or £21.75/ week (sing/coup). Same rates for Inc Supp. But that assumes you will get what you think you will.0 -
if you get LRC DLA you get NO disability premium on ESA.

If you get middle rate care on DLA where no ones carer allowance for you. The ESA on support group will get you £166.00 per week
Single over 25: £71.70
Premium severe disability single £59.50
Support £34.80
Total £166.00 per week

Are you saying that if someone are placed into the support group of income related will getting extra £15.15 per week on top of £166 ?
What about those who are in support group of ESA national insurance contributions ? Only £166 per week without extra £15.15 per week ?0 -
I get middle rate care and high rate mobility. I get ESA cont based support group.
But I do live with someone, will I qualify.0 -
I just foned the benefit enquiry line to ask about the disability premium.
They said it doesnt matter if you live with a partner or what other benefits you get; its all based on your medical problems!!
If I qualify they can back date it by 3 months.
They have a low and high rate.
Its still available to apply for in my area, so they are sending me a form, but ultimately ts will be replaced by universal credit.0 -
Yes.....but not everyone would be entitled to £166.Are you saying that if someone are placed into the support group of income related will getting extra £15.15 per week on top of £166 ?
They would not get £166, they would get £105.05 (2012 rate) you only get the premium(s) if you are on Income Related. What about those who are in support group of ESA national insurance contributions ? Only £166 per week without extra £15.15 per week ?
They don't know what they are talking about. OR... you don't understand what they were talking about. maybe they are sending you a form for DLA....or maybe they were only talking about EDP.SPELLKASTER wrote: »I just foned the benefit enquiry line to ask about the disability premium.

You will not qualify for ESA disability premiums - unless you qualify for Income Releated ESA.SPELLKASTER wrote:I get middle rate care and high rate mobility. I get ESA cont based support group.
